Next cheapest I can find this is £13.28 on an amazon seller, grey might not be to everyone's taste but for the dough you cant complain, free delivery too, brilliant. Good reviews on Amazon too. amazon.co.uk/Man…A9U

I'm not.

Hope this helps.

£13.99 including delivery so the Amazon one is slightly cheaper. Unless I'm missing something.

I don't have a clue what it is either, but if it's cheap, I'll buy it!

Oh **** off. Always one smart ****.

this is what I love about hukd , folks buy stuff that they have absolute no need for - brilliant .ps are these monopods any good ? always wondered as I have used a tripod on the odd occasion and wonder how steady these actually are .

people who don't know what this is, could Google it. Yet there is this thing called conversation, because some people aren't anti- social and prefer to ask questions and interact with human beings.

Like having a one legged Pirate X)

Ideally, to be able to make 'portrait' format photos with a monopod ( or tripod), and to increase its versatility, you will need a ball & socket head or similar to go with it.

having three monopods?

I got one of these when I renewed my DSLR mag subsription. no idea what to use it for... if I'm gonna carry something it may as well be a tripod

Got one of these a while back. It is useful for travelling - but a bit flimsy.
If you want a more stable monopod you will need to spend more
Still a bargain at this price

Digital SLR Photography are offering this monopod for free if you take out a 5 issue trial for £5, something I recently did.

The monopod was delivered maybe a week after taking out the subscription.

Unfortunately it's not like conversation though - it's like going round a room disturbing everyone to ask them the same question, when you could have done it yourself just as easily. Fairly obvious which is more anti-social.

I've got this model and although I don't use it a lot, when I do need something to steady the camera when the shutter speed is slow, this is great. Its very light and very compact. Obviously its not as good as a tripod but its a lightweight alternative.

ordered one wanted one for a while, my main tripod is a manfrotto and is 1st class

I got one one of these from elsewhere the screw thread was suitable for compact cameras but not for dslrs. Good price, especially from Calumet.

The screw thread on an slr and a compact is usually the same thread pitch length though
