Intresting. Specs are the same so it does look like a rebrand from "pro rugged" to "professional" . Odd choice given its a direct competitior to sony tough-g so rugged in the name makes sense, and it only launched late January so a rebrand this soon is an unusual choice.
Manfrotto have the Professional SD cards back at 50% off again. They don't seem to have pro Rugged but judging by specs I'd say they've just rebranded them as Professional. If you have something that is UHS-ii and need the speed then a good deal.
These are back in stock at this price again
I guess cameras that cost £2k+ the extra cost of sd card isn't much to get the performance out of it. My go pro at 4k60 is fine with a sandisk extreme pro v30 micro sd card at £40 or so, but I know some cameras can record at higher bit rates so will push 60/90+ MBs so as you say, you pay more to get the full use. I was looking at sd express which is the replacement to uhs-iii (never seen a device use uhs-iii though), similar to cfexpress which can do 1700MB/s but the cost is high, like 6x the price of this deal. At that speed, the camera buffer should never get full.
I swallowed heavily when I bought the 64GB version. Probably could've got away with a V60 instead or a top performing UHS 1 card but if you want top camera performance it seemed silly not to.
