I spotted this earlier and if I knew my salary was going to stay the same over the coming months I would have bought it...
Heat but not the greatest seller rating.
After 60 days, you have to return at your own cost in the event of a fault which will probably cost £100+

Pretty poor deal for hisenses most basic model.

I respectfully disagree
Thank you very much, no more Chinese stuff.

Unfortunately, over half of everything we use on a daily basis originate in China.

Depends if you're unlucky enough for the tv to develop a fault after 60 days. Probably have to bin it as doubt any courier would cover an insured return without a huge outlay.
Just ordered this ...now just have to see if it gets delivered
40196761.jpgLots of companies are no longer doing 2 man delivery now due to the 2 MTR spacing factor , although 1 man with a sack trolley can bring this to most front doors ??? Will have to just wait and see

And as we all see now, this has to change.

Yes it does. The question is, are we ready to pay multiples of the prices we're currently paying for these products when manufacturing is brought in house, and will the owners of such brands be willing to accept a significantly reduced profit?

I think that the situation we have here now is far worse than paying few extra pounds for everyday goods:/

Because?

Because China is an evil communist regime and gave us multiple diseases over the years.

Believe me it would not be a few extra pounds, for instance Apple's profit margin is on average over 60% of sales price, driven largely by the paltry labour costs at Foxconn as well as their lean supply chains spanning China and South Korea. Bringing manufacturing fully in house and vertically integrating a US supply chain would increase prices by well over 40% to maintain the same profit margin, or a reduction of price by equivalent to absorb the increased costs. Remember how Trumpster was screaming at Tim Cook at the start of his presidency for not bringing in manufacturing to the US, a quiet dinner at the White House quickly put paid to that idea.

Im not the one who is suggesting bringing all manufacturing back in. There are plenty other countries witch cheap labor without being enemies of the west.

The west's insatiable greed for the latest and greatest stuff out of anywhere doesn't really fit in well with the idea that China is its enemy. And let's face it the west's hardly a saint in terms of the environment and weapons production. Let's hope all this resets everything and puts a stop to countries trying to one up the other which let's face is what America, Europe, Russia and China are all doing.
