While their prices were always originally way too high IMHO, and the closing down sales deals weren't great at 20% off there's some good bargains to be found at 30% off....

For example Hue Starter Kits (assorted types) now down to circa £100-£120.

My understanding is they'll only be open for another couple of weeks so don't be surprised to see a further price drop maybe next week, but by then much of what's left may well have already sold out.

Of course as always, your mileage may vary.

Needs to be at least 50% before ill take interest. 30% just brings prices in line with other outlets such as Amazon
I rather have Amazon's refund and warranty offerings than a firm closing down

Agreed. Still not surprised they are closing down. More surprised they lasted this long.

When I went in a few weeks back there was nothing what you would call decent left of the shelves or still over priced even after discount.

Best I could find was a 100 pack of batteries (60 AA, 40 AAA) at a decent price, but I may well swing by again and have a look.

There will be no stock left by then
Guys...there are some bargains if you look....as I said in the OP I always thought the prices they charged were too high.

But right now for example.....

maplin.co.uk/p/h…6uf

which is £50 cheaper then Amazon

amazon.co.uk/Hak…T4M

There are some bargains....you've got to put in a little effort to look for them though.

Still no reduction on invertors I'm chasing a 1kw pure wave version but still £131 even after the sale price has been removed from last week.

Either way, pretty cheap for a switch! :P (I assume you're not actually referring to a Nintendo switch).

The Amazon one has a warranty does the maplin one ?
There’s no rhyme or reason to there discounts ring cam floodlight reduced to £147 last week then back up to £199 now £174
I saw in the Solihull store yesterday. Saw an absolute bargain. They had a 550w Corsair PSU that was 30% off at just £51.49....... only issue it is currently in my Amazon basket without a discount for just £44. No wonder they struggled to compete.
Just looked and hoped the prices were not inclusive of the 30% until items were added to basket, my hopes were soon dashed.
My local shop is so empty it's not worth looking. Nothing of value left and anything worth buying the staff already grabbed. Dji stuff etc..
I found that that memory was good price following the reduction. Most anything else is overpriced.
ive picked up quite a few bargains lately & cheaper than most other places
Got an X display Hyper X Alloy keyboard for £50, haggled with the manager he initially said £80 lol
need some new headphones but so much choice
Popped into Maplin, Lakeside yesterday, almost everything still to expensive. Like others here have said only bargains seem to be batteries & Corsair PSU's. Even their cable reels are silly prices. I may be the only person tho' who manged to get a Logitech Master 2S mouse for £55

That's what deal posters are supposed to do.
It's real sad to see a company that can't muster up a bargain even in sale times let alone a closing down sale!
