A well reviewed cheap & cheerful 720p dashcam with a free 32GB SDHC card (that normally sells for £32.99 on its own) all for £24.50. Can't go wrong!

This was in-store in Wigan and the SD card offer is on all dashcams irrespective of price.

There's a few in the Belfast area, was able to reserve myself one for pick up tomorrow. If the SD card is true this is a great deal, gotta be worth £12 for the card alone.

Is the SD card a high endurance one ???

Good deal if we get the card too. I can see the staff having some kind of breakdown when you try to get a free card as well.

Will report back after I attempt to get this deal tomorrow

Just tried to reserve online, does anyone know of you have to add card at the reservation stage? Cheers

Where is the SD card offer mate?
Please let us know. Thanks

720? Nah.

Can’t see where u add the card? If true a good deal

Seriously !! It comes free , if you want your favourite make buy it after . 😵

Because dashcams should be using a high endurance one. Normal ones will die considerably more quicker than you want. Also you may not notice the card has died and faulty until you go to retrieve important video footage and find the video corrupted or that it didn't record as the card malfunctioned.
Also dashcams and DVR use is excluded on normal card warranties.

It wouldn't make sense for Maplin to include a free SD card with their Dashcams if the card wasn't fit for purpose .

It could just be a free SD card, the card to used elsewhere.
I intend to go tommorow and see if it's a high endurance. If so I will get the dashcam and card for my dad.

Bit of additional info - the SD card is this one and the receipt shows that the guy entered code OFF6475 XMAS.

There is a sign up with the dash cams that shows all models come with a free 32Gb card and there were loads to choose from.

i had to ask as no sign up in Maplin Ealing - the Deal is only for the SDcard model on the receipt - I got the last one!!

However the picture of the receipt convinced them!!

They were only offering us a maplin pro card which isn't rated for dashcam, only regular use. They were also selling a 32gb high endurance card , which isn't included in the offer. Salesman .. being a salesman tried to convince me the pro one is rated for dashcam use "otherwise why would they bundle it".
Never mind.

Saved my money this time around!..

The maplin card doesn'thave a specified life ( unlike the heavy duty cards mentioned above.

however it has a 1yr SIG warranty from Maplin and a lifetime guarantee on the label .

monthly reformatting is recommended on several sites, BUT any card can fail!

The guy knew all about the card, I actually confused him more trying to explain about it lol. No cards in stock so he took my address and ordered one to be delivered to my house.

Thank you O/P.

Edit, Brilliant wee device, just ordered another for my daughter! I think this works via USB, my daughter drive a Fiat Panda with no cigarette lighter socket but she has USB in her car stereo. Fingers crossed.

2nd edit: There is 1080p in the settings so maybe full HD?

Got one from Maplins Basingstoke including the bundled free 32Gb Micro SDHC card. At this price it gives me the opportunity to evaluate the technology and my requirements for any further purchase. Though, probably it will be included as standard or optional in any future car purchase.

Thanks to the OP for this great offer.

Sample video on YouTube look pretty good to be fair..

the camera does 1080p as well

As above I ordered 2 but memory cards weren't in stock so I got sent them today with a receipt for £32.99 each. I'm wondering could I return these instore effectively leaving me with a £17 profit and buy a couple of 16GB cards at roughly a tenner for the pair

This or previous YI from amazon for 34£???

I went to maplins in Belfast and got it for 24.50 but they said the sd offer card is no longer on.
They said it was only available on the £39 deal as per their Xmas offers catalogue.

He said I could buy it for £39 with the sd card but not as £24.50 ... bit gutted

Back down to £24.50 and online now (with free delivery). Tempted!

Can you still get the free 32gb card with this?
