Cue the "what's a cd player?" comments but this is a great machine for the money and even better value after a price drop of £50 down to £249.
Price is online and instore.
Also looks like Amazon have price matched the reduction.

It's a good deal now for a great cd player. Comparing to Sonos and lossless formats is a different story.
My CD collection amassed over 40 years has outgrown its storage space. Its now all on a Netgear ReadyNAS & played through a Yamaha DSP-Z7 I really can't tell the difference but maybe you'll put that down to the age of my ears.
No more changing CD's either...........
Have to admit I still buy the CD and then rip it. Quality of downloadable MP3's isn't good enough.
I could get into the pluses and minuses for both situations but all I'm doing is posting a great deal for a good value separate IF you are in the market for one.
People drive run of the mill Mondeos and Quasquis (or whatever they are called) in the week but love to drive a classic car at the weekends for the love and the unique experience.
You are probably getting better audio out of that set up than a CD player of the same cost. I ripped all my CDs to FLAC years ago and just got a really good dac, which is the most important part of a system nowadays.
As mentioned in previous comments, it all depends how much you sink into your hifi setup.
I love my CD's but then again I am old plus I have an old pioneer multi CD changer and all my stuff on mp3, mind you I could do with the shelf space back,,,, who wants to buy about 500 CDs but I'm keeping my vinyl
