March Madness Rentals Instore + Other Great Deals & Savings: As Cheap As £2 A Blu-ray or DVD On New Release @ Blockbuster

Apologies if anyone or everyone is completely aware of this, but throughout March, Blockbuster are doing some nice deals for those people who fancy renting a few films or games.....

Now I'm not usually one who has enough time or money to rent films regularly, but I couldn't say no to these as its almost half the price of normal or even the slightly older stuff you get on SKY Box Office.

Basically its as follows:

- ANY two films, be it DVD or BLU-RAY (or a mix) for 2 nights for £5
or
- ANY four films, be it DVD or BLU-RAY (or a mix) for 4 nights for £10

** If you rent 2 or 4 more again as you bring these back, you get a FURTHER 20% off...making it £4 for 2 films or £8 for 4!

£2 a piece for a new release was definitely enough to make me rent a few..!!!

You can also rent the games for PS3, XBOX and Wii in same way, but not sure you can mix with films....

Also, not sure whether this is just March or all the time now (as I don't rent that often) but if you rent more films as you take some LATE ones back, they waive the late fees too!

I have to say I did have a subscription a few years ago for LoveFilm, who were thought to be likely to put Blockbuster and other rental 'shops' out of business, but the fact you actually get what you want, when you want is a bonus for me.... and its so much cheaper at the moment to do it!

Hope this helps some who didn't know...

Amazed they are still going tbh!

My local blockbuster has had one night rental Mo-Fri for £1.50 for a few months which is slightly cheaper (but for 1 night less). I used it over Xmas for a blue ray but I have lovefilm so I don't go there much. I assumed that this was not store specific.

Darn, thought this was the sale like the one last year. All of those Blu-rays for £1.93. oO

I thought it was a deal as well. Maybe put rental in title

I bet you very rarely get one of your 'top 3' in the list from LoveFilm....or even top ten a lot of the time....Unless things have changed... I cancelled my subscription last year after over 2 years with them as I was sick of getting the 'fillers' from the bottom of my list!

I am not too bad actually. I tend to have a handful of high priority ones and they do come. I got the Illusionist this morning and it just came out on Friday. I had just returned The Social Network so it was a reasonably recent film as well.

Saying that I only have two DVD/Blueray per month so they cannot get it too wrong.

I do really feel that Blockbuster are drinking in the last chance saloon. IPTV and video streaming are becoming more popular. I think it's only a matter of time before all blockbusters do close.

true, I agree streaming will eventually be the future for everyone, but until then this is far cheaper...which is what we are here for I guess... The problem with streaming at the moment is that there is too little choice, especially on something like the PS3 Lovefilm area, where it seams only a handful of the latest releases are included in the 'streamable' ones.... So back to waiting for discs -

Incidentally Sofeac, I had the 'unlimited' package before so I imagine they may just fling anything to you based on the fact that over each month you'll probably get one or two of your top ones....whereas in the 2 or 3 disc package, they have to be more careful not to p*ss you off!

Does anyone actually like renting 4 films over only 2 nights?
