Lol maybe there's bits been stuck in the microfibre cloth you had I know if you some how get bits of wood on a cloth it's impossible to get out. I tend to use plain kitchen roll for wiping things down and polishing. Darent try a cloth for polishing now you've told me that lol

That's what I've started doing now using kitchen roll but it's too late for my desk it's ruined

I had Grey gloss furniture in my living room too but I've given it all to the charity shop as it was scratched and I've replaced it with wooden furniture so you can't see any scratches on that!

Oh no! I love grey, I'm slightly obsessed, living room and bedroom is variations of grey and silver and white. Maybe abit of a performance but couldn't it have all be spray painted? My daughters desk and box drawer units are those shiny white gloss range from IKEA. I noticed they are scratched on the top abit (not a lot, yet) I'm a bit of a scrimper where I can so I was thinking I might try spraying over them. Don't know if it will work but worth a try as I can't afford to replace them. What I do know is I won't try polishing with cloths ever now you said you had to replace

I'm not sure if you can spray paint gloss furniture but I don't have the get up and go to do that lol and the BHF made a few quid from the furniture at least

I used to have a White gloss desk before the Black one I have now,it all went Yellow and faded in the sun so I'm avoiding gloss now
Unfortunately website is down now. Guess they are fixing a misprice
