Because it decreases the value of the game and also it's less aesthetically pleasing. Though I'm not bothered by it, means cheaper games and I'm fine by that.

I don't really care about Selects packaging, Just thought I'd do that for some reason
I think it's snobbery. Like buying name brands in Supermarkets. It's the same thing inside, just a change of label. Mind you I personally avoid the selects covers too. Heat!
Brought 3 Selects games today. Game is the same, box will go inside a bigger box, inside another box in the loft

Not sure its snobbery. I buy some Tesco value or ASDA smartprice stuff, it is just when I look at our games collection, a sweaty Selects game in amongst the other lovely cases is just going to look bad, and feel unsatisfying. If your looking years ahead too, it just makes logical sense to avoid Selects. HEAT!
