Mods are going to come down on me as I mention this in 2 consecutive comments.
p.nintendo.net/
That is the website for the promo. Runs until the end of 2014.

You can just sign up a new Nintendo club account with a different email to register the Mario Kart 8 code. This will qualify for the 1 game promotion code which is a generic code which can be used on your actual Nintendo club account. You can do this indefinitely well 10 times
It's not one per console. It's one per account on nintendo.co.uk
I got given a digital and physical version of the game.
registered the digital game got pikmin 3.
My physical turned up took the points card out registered it on a new account got mario Bro U, sold the physical off.
Each time you register it you get a redeem code, this isn't locked to an account.
Where the points are coming from is one thing, but in terms of buying them, a seller with 99.9% positive feedback from 5,000+ sales can't do any harm to its reputation... Heat for OP
EDIT - just realised from the comments this promo stacks, so you can get multiple free games? Crazy! Heat added.

They are a business seller and can be found on Companies House.

top sleuthing!
you'll need to setup a spoof Nintendo account for each new code you want to redeem. the end result is an eshop code. this can be redeemed on any console regardless of whether you've already redeemed another eshop code from the same promotion.
It doesn't even fit on a Basic.
About 20 left.
Yes to bolded. I also think you are confused by account.
The account you redeem the game on (via eShop) is a Nintendo Network ID (NNID). It can be linked to a Club Nintendo account.
What you get the promo codes from is a Club Nintendo account (this predates NNID). The codes gotten from it can be used on any NNID in that region.
Reading the revision summary:
Some of them may be the £30 GAME ones. Listing was created on 20th June with stock added 23rd, 24th June, 5th and 14th July
Prices changed on 29th June and 10th July (since they have very little value at the end of July)
A thing to bear in mind is they do have to scratch the codes off and e-mail that info and someone needs to be paid to do that.

I'm all for money making schemes just like this seller so good on the seller for helping himself out by helping the 'Lazier' generation of people as you seem to be quoting. I personally would rather spend an additional £4.95 to have the game instantly than do what is required to get it for £6 but hey that's me. I also prefer to buy a pizza from Pizza Hut every now and then as a treat but again hey that's me. You are no better than this seller because you have done the exact same thing and cheated a system that was there by Nintendo, the same as I with buying this for £10.95
Yes, but only on the same console. No account sharing like the ps4/xbox 1.
Download history on your club nintendo account as well the eshop.

Why not your covered by paypal, so whats the problem that youve got with this ?
chap I sold my code to had already registered his free game when I sold him mine. it's like the others have pointed out: the end result of this promo is an eshop code which can be registered on any console. there's no tracking on Nintendo's part.
Because its just a random guy selling them - not a VAT registered business
yeah - Nintendo Land could be picked up for £5 at one point and Mario and Sonic Olympics 2014 is headed to a clearance bin near you very, very soon.
I am 100000% sure. I've done it. Just make a new nintendo account and register the game to that before the promo date ends. You'll miss out on 250 points on your main account but will be able to get a free game out of it.
Yes. Done it myself
