Very poor game, obviously just a lazy re-hash, but be aware if you have not played MK8D, one player mode sucks big time. There is virtually nothing worthwhile to play for. All the cups and tracks, and every single character is available from the start. Absolute rubbish. It is of course also just a Nintendo Kart, and the "Mario Kart" is completely diluted with the likes of Splatoon, Zelda, and Animal Crossing tracks and characters you can drive as.

Everyone should boycott buying this game, and force Nintendo into getting their "new games design team" back to work, for a proper new MK9 game which is well long over due now.

Here's a question. If you don't have a Switch can you still buy this? I still have my Nintendo account where presumably my past digital Switch purchases are still stored.
If I buy this I just get the digital copy & not a physical game cartridge?

That's true. You can buy it now, and when you get a switch, you can log on to your account and download the game.

I'm after Mario Party, anyone have any deals for that?

Also, can you share account details with other people if you have a digital download and install it on multiple switches? If so, let me know if you're interested

You won't miss anything if you don't get it.
Unless you have kids, they might enjoy it. But don't let them play the board game! They might go crazy on their friends.

Why would they go crazy ?
Yes it is crazy. I read an article that mario party had caused a shortage of the joy cons.

I can tell you from my experience and I'm over 40 that I lost it and stopped the game. It's mainly luck and the rules are bit hursh let alone for kids. You can steal money, you can steal stars(which important for winning the game), you can decide which player will not have a turn and you have " bad luck" spots that get even worse as the game progressed and if you fell on one of them you choose your punishment and in my case lost a star. Not to mention that before that one of the other player stole my star!!! So after losing my 2 stars lost it!! Oh..you have blocks blocking your way and you need to pay them, but since I got robbed from my money couldn't pay and ended on bad luck...
Now you see why they would go crazy??

That's weird. You're throwing money at them and the won't take it.

It seems you need to link your account to your Nintendo Switch before purchasing something, sorry.

Your account needs to remain linked to a Switch. I imagine the only way it would still be linked to one you no longer own, is if your user account remained on there. More than likely the console was factory reset though, no?

Yes. And I prefer digital games for kids as they lose the cartridges or put them in the wrong way around and break the console.

You can do this but its best to make an account that you use to purchase games on then make an account that you plan to play the games on and same with the person you are sharing with...

Then when you buy a game the other person must be logged on as the account you buy games with to play while you can use any account to play games you bought.

If you wanna play someone elses games you must be on their purchasing account and if the login to that game while you are playing you will be kicked off..

Also you can share Nintendo family pass so you can play online..

I would also recommend that you dont keep credit card details on the account.

Go to the mynintendo website. Sign into your account and go into settings. Change your region to South Africa.

Now load up the Nintendo store on your switch. It will ask you to sign in again but you will now access the SA store

Doing this makes it want to bill me in SAR rather than GBP, and I can only pay by credit card and not PayPal.
Is that expected? If it's charging my bank SAR, then maybe my bank will sting me with FX fees...
Brilliant game, great price. The best Mario Kart ever by a country mile.

A nice one to have digital for easy dipping in and out.

Yes your bank will charge a foreign transaction fee. This isn't normally that much but always best to check. I have a revolut virtual card so I don't have any fees, may be worth looking into. Totally free and you just transfer money onto the revolut card when you need it

It’s very much not a poor game. It’s just not a new game.
Perfect. Bought a Switch last week from a guy on Facebook. He thought he was selling me a (brand new) Switch with Mario Party for £220, which I was more than pleased with. I opened the box and Pokemon Eevee was inside. Get in. This looks like the next addition.
sammybo2203/01/2019 19:50

I've download games from the Norway, russian, and south African stores. They all play fine on my switch in my native language english. I switch my account back to the UK store after i have bought the game, but I'm not sure you even have to do this. So no need to worry at all, it really is very simple.
