Honestly, you're missing out then. The Switch is, hands down, the best piece of kit I've bought in ages - and I bought an Xbox One X earlier in the year too (which is a great piece of kit too).

Yes, the games/peripherals are expensive, but there are deals to be found and there's a fair amount of digital content available too, some of which isn't that dear.

I guess when you go to checkout, there should be a box to enter the code.

Download the prime now app, check if available in you're area.
Add Mario Kart to basket for £41.99.
Use code 10PRIMENOW or what ever is on the home screen.

Total comes to £41.99 with 2-4 hour delivery.

How can something be considered not a deal, just because it is not as cheap as a game from another platform? If you applied that to everything in life then I'd wonder why there is a market for things like, oh I dunno, iPhones? Nintendo have zero competition, in so far as the Switch is a unique proposition with games that cannot be played on another platform, much like if you want iOS you've got to get an iPhone.

Are the games higher priced that I'd ideally like them to be? Don't we all want everything a bit cheaper, otherwise we wouldn't be here, and this deal is a bit cheaper than elsewhere, so it's a hot deal right?

Good call, thanks. However, the current code is PRIMENOW10 which gives £10 off a minimum order of £50 rather than £40. I've ordered anyway. Mario Kart 8 and two official Nintendo wheels for £45.98. Both arriving before 14:00.

My bad I knew it was something along them lines lol. Shame you have to spend 50 but still cheaper. I always use this to get full priced games for cheaper.

I get what your saying, however this game is a port from another platform (the Wii U) and was £20 on that platform back in 2015 / 2016. I would actually buy it again on the Switch for a similar price just to play multiplayer with friends, however it's hard to justify almost double the price for a port of an old game I've owned since 2015.

Granted i'm sure many people didn't play it back on the Wii U so depending on your situation this might be a deal.

For myself personally this is not a deal, however it would be unfair for me to vote either way as it is a slight deal compared to other places selling the game on the Switch platform.

We also have had this since day one on the Wii U, didn't stop us getting so it can be played on the move now, with the Switch. It also has a few battle modes that were not included, and all the DLC is there too.

I'm going to say that while you are correct the Wii U is a different platform, it will cost anyone who already owns a Switch £100+ to get the cheaper Wii U version, and again this is still technically a platform exclusive, since this version of the game cannot be bought for another system.

Either way, we love both the Switch and the Wii U, and the level of value you get out of the first party titles is almost unmatched, using cost divided by enjoyment hours as the formula.

It's basic supply and demand, this game is still number 4 in the UK sales chart over a year after release, and 3rd in the individual formats chart.

As Nintendo games sell [relatively] strongly for a long time they stay at full price. Other games tend to sell mostly in the first few weeks and then sales dry up so pricing gets more and more aggressive. Look at FIFA, that has strong sales for nearly a year and maintains a relatively high price, then price plummets.
