Says new price 60p. Old price is 90p. I think this is cheap when you consider the main brands are about £1.

Noticed Basmati, Pilau, long grain and wholemeal variations.

Or get it from Lidl/ALDI/Poundstretcher/B&M/HB for less than 50p for probably exactly the same rice.

I suspect M&S don't share products with the brand's you mention because they base their food on quality and the establishments you say are cheapest possible.

Some folk are hard to please.

You could always visit a food bank for even cheaper food.
This is the normal price since last year in M&S foodhall in Bath. Same variations too, not if if it's just for foodhall though

That is a typical response you'd get from an M&S snob. The products I mention are branded products. Do you think M&S produce their own ?

It's not a typical response, it's fact. Thats why they get away with charging more and if its 10p more expensive than the cheap stuff, I'll happily buy it.

Fact ? I trust you can back that up ?
Thanks for posting this deal, I’m a big Marks fan and I’ll look out for it. I’ve had my fair share of rubbish from Lidl and the likes including their microwave rice. Ignore the complainers, you put stuff on here to help people out but some people just want to have a moan. People should appreciate this site and why it’s there and what people do to help others out.

I’ve tried some of these micro rices. They’re ok if you like eating cardboard.

I've tasted frozen pizzas like cardboard, but not rice

Not a case of being happy, it's a case of pointing out cheaper alternatives which taste exactly the same, nothing more! Don't knock it til you've tried it.

I've seen your comments on other posts in your history. All negative.

Yikes, a stalker ! (shock). I think not, more alternatives, but if it makes you feel better that's fine.

Had this rice before, really good quality rice for this price. I've tried other supermarket own brands expecting it to be as good, but it doesn't even compare for the price.

Well I don't have any spare houses to remortgage, so I can't buy anything at Waitrose.
