Look out for your voucher when you buy at the store. Ok so you have to spend £35 to save £5 but it is Christmas and I'm using mine for Christmas food goodies

Thanks, been waiting for these. My local store is always happy to take one off the food that's been ordered.

It was better in previous years when they were leaflets at the tills but I'll try buying a sandwich tomorrow and see if I get one!

I've preordered, my store has always been happy to apply the coupon when paying the balance (you pay a £20 deposit to order and balance in store on collection).

Having said that, I always go at 9am on 24th and they have plenty of turkey's to buy off the shelf. If you went in the morning you would be ok without preordering.

If the total order is £35 (£20 deposit + £15 balance to be paid instore). Would they still apply the voucher or would the balance to be paid instore have to be £35?

They scan the turkey, then have to apply your deposit to the computer, so if you hand over the £5 voucher as they put it through they should apply the £5 first, then deducted the £20 deposit. I've done this for the last 3 years running without problem.

Wondered why I saw some people looking in the bins at he end of the scan section today.
Lot of people just scan items and throw receipt in bin as they walk out

Leaflets were available for the weeks after Christmas last year, I seem to remember. Don't know if you're confusing with that?

There's down & outs, then there's M&S down & outs.

I'm sure it's £5 off clothing?

Not just any roast. A M&S THREE bird roast!:|

How much do you have to spend to get the voucher? I was going to pick up a few bits for Christmas on Friday but may get a small amount to get the voucher and then get the rest on the 19th.

Judging from OP post it's £35 in food hall

We're going to M&S on Friday to do a food shop and this would have been handy but not going back before Xmas (nearest store roughly 45 miles away)

Oh, I read it as £5 off a £35 spend when you go back between the 19th and 24th December. I was meaning to get the till spit in the first place.

Not 100% sure but reading few posts below, the £5 voucher is valid 19th - 24th.

Going Friday so I won't find out until then

I spent £120 in M&S yesterday and got £5 off £50 spend :-(

My spend was £7.50 to get my £5 voucher........bonus

seen others getting these coupons at checkout.....but then I don't get one.....so cold for me

I got a £5 off £25 spend the other day, will it work on two £10 meal deals like the Green Redeem vouchers did?

How's this a deal? M&s tills spew these out randomly on a daily basis

each offer on a till receipt a random. it's 1 every 10 transactions in that store

Can't edit using the app. there is no minimum spend to get an offer. it literally is a random offer per 10 transactions. there is no deal here

I'll give you another example.... random receipt.... have a free breakfast meal when buying a hot drink in the coffee shop.....

There were a few of these floating around the checkout in our store today - We were handed £5 off a £35 spend, but I also picked up a £5 off £25 spend which was laying about.

I only spent £7 today in M&S Orpington and got one of these £5 off food vouchers seems quite random! Heat added8)

heat added for what? this is exactly the same as buying a lotto ticket. 6 random numbers come out that you " might" get

Guess I could buy 10 items and pay for them in 10 transactions to increase my chances (_;)

It should work - I had a similar one a few days ago that worked OK even though I wasn't actually spending £25 (after multi-buy discounts applied).
BUT, to be on the safe side, go through a self-service checkout and scan the coupon immediately after the last item (BUT BEFORE pressing the sub-total "Finish & Pay" button) . It seems the till recognises the 'total cost' of all items before all discounts have been taken into account and accepts the coupon

Got one, spent £7.20 on soup and mince pies I asked the cashier if everyone got them but she said they were random.

I also received one of these vouchers today when buying Xmas cards (which are all 50% off at the moment)

looks like you need to buy something. previous years they had the vouchers at the information desk.

I think they'll have them too, last year they did the till spit one (which I kept missing and the person in front of me would always get it) and the four £5 off £25 leaflet for the New Year too. Does anyone know if the leaflet is out yet?

you dont get these at self served tills right?
