These biscuits are yummy! They don't last long in our house. This is the large 1kg tin reduced from £15. Makes a perfect Christmas present.

I think I noticed the smaller tin reduced too priced at £4.

Hope it helps someone out.

Should have added that I think this is just an instore deal at the moment but should be nationwide. Found it at Sprucefield store. Will see if I can find the receipt to upload.

Have a competition with yourself.....buy these and see if you can not eat them all before Christmas.

Fab! I have been waiting for a good offer. I got Thorntons last year and the best before date was 31/12/13. Wont be giving Thorntons again. Will gives these instead.

Seems there are good dates on these. My 3 boxes have a best before 06/15.

Here they are on the website as part of the Xmas food preordering marksandspencer.com/bel…285 but they are still full price online.

£2.99 for 500g of continental biscuits from Lidl.

bought these over 2weeks ago at this price... lovely biscuits though

My mum got several of these in Meadowhall yesterday for Xmas presents, we get them every year, gorgeous biscuits!!

I'm looking forward to 2 month old biscuits, like a a fine wine I say they only get better with age.

Unfortunately some people are snobs and if you give them a box of Lidl biscuits as a gift they will look down on you.

It wouldn't occur to me to give 1kg of factory-produced biscuits, whether Lidl or M&S, as a gift. Strange gift, but each to his or her own. :-)

I was thinking for personal consumption, hence Lidl's biscuits!

This offer is on until November 9th, the smaller Belgian tin is not half price currently. Also half price are Belgian cocoa dusted truffles at £3, Italian Dessert selection at £5 (my personal favourite), Milk Milk Milk biscuit carton at £3 and the light up Santa's House tin (filled with mini ginger bread men)...I can't remember the price of the house though sorry!

To my mind this is not an offer at all, but another marketing trick. There is no way any serious company would try to sell a tin of biscuits like this at £15, and £7.50 is still a lot for a tin of biscuits.
So they are now at the price they should be, and the £15 price is in reality double what it should be !

These aren't going to be a suitable present for everyone but IMO they are perfect for certain situations. In my case I give them to the staff of the day care nursery that my daughters go to and also to a small group of co-workers.

Saw the 1Kg tin at £7.50. Looks good for an Xmas present. However, you could get two 500g cardboard boxes for £7, OK if you're not fussed about the packaging.

It's not a strange gift, people have been gifting boxes/tins of biscuits since I was a child and I'm old,so it's a VERY long time lol
