I wouldn't waste your time ordering sale clothing items online from M&S. My wife ordered eight items recently on a "Sale" day and had paid extra to have them delivered ten days later (as we were away for a week). Within 48 hours we received an email that one item had gone out of stock - so now only seven items. The day before the items should have been delivered we received an email to say that the items would not be delivered and we would be contacted by phone. We were and it transpired that six of the seven items had also gone out of stock. Needless to say I canceled the order and won't be bothering again. What a rubbish stock control system they must have or are the "Sales" just stunts to attract publicity?

Yep much the same here when I tried to order from them. They must have the worst stock control system on the net. I`ve never encountered this problem with any other company.

Just to confirm this is instore also few great bargains in time for Christmas!

Ive had similar experience to you earlier this year when they had a sale on. I ordered a mixture of items including jewellery, clothing (adult and child), books and misc stuff. It was ALL accepted on the order and TEN days later I got an email showing that only three out of about 15 items were available. They sent me refills for plug in air fresheners, but without the plug that Id ordered too. People here complain about Littlewoods, La Redoute, etc. Ive never had any problems in years of dealing with them, but in a handful of M&S orders, they've been just awful.

ps just looked on the site, the clearance is ... 27 items LOL.

Amazing - nobody offered me £10 to say sorry - you will have to tell me how you got that!! All I got was "we are sorry", "we understand your displeasure" and "you must understand we sold over a million items that day"! Just how many people didn't get what they ordered? For such a large company it's extremely poor service............
