Will they have to pay duties on the other side ?

It says in the small print they may have to pay duty.

usually no duty for NZ unless the value of the package is over 200 NZD. when I lived in NZ, I would do lots of small orders from M & S instead of one large one, usually max value of 50GBP each order to ensure I stayed well under the duty limit. If delivery is free, then it doesn't matter how many orders you send as long as you keep them under the limit. Hope that helps!

And yet free uk delivery is with £50 spend

Any idea if there would be import charges in Dubai?

So it should be OK to send a bottle of wine to friends in NZ, then?

Yeah my brother had to pay a whopping load of duty when I had m&s send a sweater to Canada for my niece last year, it approximately made the sweater double the original price, what a travesty that was!

You can only usually order clothes or homeware - if you look at the website, there are exclusions which are food/drink/flowers/furniture etc.... also if you select an item, it will usually say whether it is available for international delivery.

Is that for any order or just large ones?

You pay taxes and duty if the item is above $20 so pretty much covers almost all items...... The exchange rate just now is very much in our favour so really anything above £10 value is going to get hit

Does anyone know if paying import duties on goods applies to gifts (posted by myself to aunties in Canada) as well? All of the sudden worrying that they've had to pay duties on our Christmas gits for years!
