yes it is - its rather good actually every clear.

How long does the battery last for these though? I'm guessing these are last years cards so I'd be worried the radio part would be non-working. When I've seen his sort of thing in the past the battery is built in and non replaceable. I won't vote though because for all I know the battery's are full and will last for ages. I#ll add rep though.

Fathers Day?? Yet another excuse to wring more money out of gullible idiots by peddling tacky tat. Told my kids (as I do every year) not to bother, hopefully they're starting to get the message, managed to get through the dreaded birthday card-free this year for the first time. If I want to go out and buy some driving gloves or novelty socks or mug with "grumpy old git" on the side then I'll go and buy them myself. The fact that I haven't chosen to do this yet gives some clue as to whether I actually want any of this rubbish.

Honestly, you should at least go out and get the "grumpy old git" mug. There has never been a more deserving owner... I suppose you never get your wife a valentines card either.

My kids enjoy doing something a little special for their old man on Fathers Day. Sure I get some tacky stuff, and a LOT of Toblerone, but it's all good fun.

If you are not at all interested in buying a fathers day card, why on earth did you go to the bother of clicking and commenting on the link, just to upset those who do choose to participate in the 'fathers day' spirit . Yes i think the shops cotton on to any occasion and raise prices, and i tell my kids not to spend too much on me (or make a card) ...but for 39p you cant complain....well unless you are a real saddo. So again...why did you bother to post your opiniated rubbish......just to stir things up !!! SADDO

If you are upset by my comments (which I'm sure ring true with the majority of battle-weary fathers in this country) then maybe you're the saddo, not me. If I choose to express my opinions on the exploitative nature of Fathers Day, Valentine's Day (yep, I do refuse to buy over-priced cards and flowers for the old boot), Next Door Neighbours Poorly Budgie Day, Halloween etc etc then I will do. People shouldn't be so bl**dy touchy.

Very battle-weary, 50 hrs at work last week followed by pounding the streets delivering Yellow pages every night, subject to abuse by the spongers on the council estate sat in their front gardens in the sun drinking beer and barbequing just to try and get a few extra quid so I can take my kids away this summer. Who's the mug? Something seriously wrong with this country. And yes, I'd rather put the 39p in the holiday fund, every penny counts.

This week after work its ripping a very old kitchen out so I can replace it with another that a kind relative has given me, no rest for the wicked. Maybe I should sit on my ar*e and claim benefits, the council will come round and fit a new one for me then.

Well, yes, if your present lot in life makes you so f*****g miserable perhaps you should claim benefits and have a break.:whistling:

OK, boys, time to stop bickering and this ^^^ is very unnecessary.
He is only trying to set a good example and provide for his kids, and having a bit of a hard time by the sounds of things, no need to be mean about it. I get the point, and I'm sure you do too - Fathers' day is very commercialised these days, for some even a penny spent on it is a waste as it's having your family around you that counts, not some day dictated to us by card companies, but I also get the point that 39p is not a lot of money.
No need to continue your bickering about it all and being rather unpleasant to each other.
