Firstly this is not released in the UK, only series 1 - 4 are and they cost around £10 each.

After doing some research I have found out that these discs are Region Free, meaning they will play on any DVD player.

On a previous deal it was mentioned the discs actually being Region free:-

hotukdeals.com/tag/dea…583

Also TvDvdInfo also confirms them to being Region Free:-

tvdvd.info/ind…170

If you choose a slightly higher and quicker shipping option on Amazon at the checkout they will automatically collect and pay the UK Import Fee for you, so you won't get one of those nasty cards from Royal Mail asking for a charge to be paid plus there collection fee on top.

So you will get it at the price listed here in the deal with no extra hidden costs.

So at the checkout DO NOT choose the standard shipping option of:-

Standard International Shipping (averages 18-32 business days) - £4.43

Instead choose:-

AmazonGlobal Expedited Shipping (averages 8-14 business days) - £6.82

It will only cost you £2.39 more than the cheaper shipping option.

Item Subtotal: GBP 27.30
Shipping & Handling: GBP 6.82

Total Before Tax: GBP 34.12
Import Fees Deposit: GBP 6.82

Order Total: GBP 40.94

All 262 episodes are included in this set.

Spend some quality time with the family as you join hard-working husband Al (Ed O'Neill), housework-hating wife Peg (Katey Sagal), sexy daughter Kelly (Christina Applegate) and hopelessly horny son Bud (David Faustino) to celebrate the landmark TV sitcom Married...with Children. For 11 seasons it was brilliantly tasteless, daringly raunchy and a devilishly clever comedy that pun the "fun" in "dysfunctional". Now you can own this great collectible box set that's guaranteed to give you hours and hours of domestic bliss.

Having tried the first disc in my ps3 I can confirm they are definitely region 0.

I bought this set about a year ago, for similar money. Great value for cash kept us busy for almost a month watching a disc a day.

Just be careful as one if the discs in this boxset is not region free, i think its season 8 disc 2 for some reason its R1 locked, i tried it in 2 dvd players. Or at least that disc in my boxset wasnt region free...

Al describing some other woman's bottom as like two kittens playing under a blanket but Peggy's as like two rhinos fighting under a tarpaulin.

or something like that....

Love the show watching it from the start again

Superb series, great value. I bought them all when I was in Holland a few years back. Can't understand why all the seasons haven't had a UK release?

Love this show. Great deal, already have the seasons I want but if I didn't I would be on this.

My hero.

Got this some years ago from the internet but the quality leaves a lot to be desired. Tempted by this as it's a fantastic series.

For some reason it was a lot more popular in Holland. That is how I got the seasons I wanted. You could only get season 1 in the UK.

I would keep an eye on this .

You got lucky in that you were not charged Customs Duty + Royal Mail handling fee...etc when it arrived. If you had, it would have cost a whole lot more.
In this instance, the Tax/Duty is calculated and paid up front - which is a much safer option.

Tell me more, how do you know the import fee wasn't applicable in his case and is here? I've never ordered from the states so would like to understand this

Fat lady in shoe store - "How dare you speak to me like that! I'm going somewhere where they treat larger ladies with respect!"

Al - "Try the moon, you weigh less there".

And that's why he should've been President.

It used to be that anything under £18 there was no Import/Customs Duty to be paid when importing from countries other than those in the EU. This is referred to as LVCR (Low Value Consignment Relief). This limit is now £15. If you import anything over this value, then you are liable to the relevant import duty (probably 20% VAT), and also a Royal Mail Handling fee.

When you order directly from Amazon.com, they will calculate this for you. In bigwheels case though he/she bought from a Marketplace seller, and this was not included in the price. It's hit and miss whether your package gets intercepted by Customs when it reaches the UK. If it doesn't...great, you get away with it. If it gets checked by customs, it will be delayed in being delivered, and you will be hammered for additional costs.

I ordered this for $21.98 which falls below the £15.00 import duty for customs so no fees.
Amazon was cheaper over all but cos this was $21.98 + $12.29 shipping .The shipping is not inc in total cost so no import duty

Peggy's family are ****.

Wow I remember sitting down eating tea with parents when I was a kid watching this think it used to be on Sky 1.

Great, thanks a lot. And by "When you order directly from Amazon.com, they will calculate this for you" you mean they calculate it and presumably also pay it so you don't have to.

Like most entries on the Amazon site, even if a film is region 0 they will simply put the standard region 1 in their description.

However like I said earlier in a previous deal the people who ordered the same set reported that the discs were in fact region free and also on another website it is being reported as region free as well.

Yes, I have done this a number of times, if you follow my guide in the op then Amazon will calculate the Import Fee (£6.82) and then pay it for you so all you have to do is sit back and wait for the item to arrive.

Ed O'Neill is a serious Shakespearean actor.. but best known for Married With Children and Wayne's World xD

Christina Applegate had a double mastectomy way before Angelina Jolie but nobody seemed to bat an eyelid in comparison to the uproar over Jolie.

I hear what your saying, but when I used Amazon's calculator for some other item I ordered it looks like they do include shipping as part of the Import Fee calculation. Try it yourself, go to the Amazon site and add something to your basket at $21.98 and choose the second shipping option where they calculate tax for you and you will see that they do include shipping as part of there calculations because you will see that a fee will have been applied.

*** EDIT ***

To prove my point I just added an item to my basket which was $21(less than £15) in value and it added an Import Fee.

Items: GBP 14.59
Shipping & handling: GBP 6.82

Total before tax: GBP 21.41
Estimated tax to be collected: GBP 0.00
Import Fees Deposit GBP 4.28

Order total: GBP 25.69

With modern TV's you don't really get that issue anymore.

If you have a DVD player connected to your TV by HDMI you should be ok.
