Individual Mars & Snickers protein bars are £1.49 at Home Bargains. I know the sugar content of these are a bit high and on a nutritional level there are better bars for cheaper but this is a deals site and this is the cheapest I can find them individually, unless you buy in bulk. So if you're in town and need a snack, maybe this could be your choice.

Other retailer prices:

Protein Pick n Mix - £2.49
Muscle Food - £2.49
Sports Direct - £2.50
Predator Nutrition (18 Bars dated 1st April 2018) - £24.99 + P&P
Bodybuilding Warehouse (18 Bars dated 1st April 2018) - £24.99 + P&P)
Dolphin Fitness (18 Bars) - £27.95 + P&P
Amazon (18 Bars) - £31.24 (Prime)

Thanks.

Some people probably think it's bonkers to pay £3000 for a TV and £50 for a game because it comes in a steel box. However this is a deals website and this is the cheapest you can buy an individual bar.

Don't you need to include total carbs as all carbs convert to sugar and in mars total carbs is 22g in a 57g bar
High protein yes, but still full of sugar. (All carbs basically turn to sugar)
By a pack of 4 normal ones for a quid in the supermarket. Two alone would match the protein content.
Do you only get one bar for that price?

Do people really pay the full price?

Bonkers!

A standard Mars bar has 2.2g protein so you'd need to eat 9, so with that in mind, it'd cost more, you'd eat over 1000 calories and a scary amount of sugar too.

Saw these in my local home bargains Redditch for the same price, I’d never pay £1.49 for one bar when I can get a 4pk of actual mars or snickers bars for £1. If I want protein them I’ll get it from proper food, chicken, fish, eggs etc

And sugar into fat.

Not necessarily..

200kcals for one of these is on par with most of the 20g protein bars (and a lot of ready mixed shakes) sold by the sports nutrition brands in most supermarkets. Keeping something like this is in your gym bag is handy if you're running low on energy after working out and aren't able to eat a proper meal soon. The cost is also in line.

Well *possibly* 100g depending on the Nuts/ mix they also have a very high fat content 35+grams and sugar as well and that isn't a small amount.

fact Is if you are exercising enough to actually need these the sugar is irrelevant. These are a treat or to break up the monotony of a high protein diet.

I've came to the conclusion that if a deal is heading hot, people click the heat button without really looking because, hey, it must be a hot deal if it's 200+ ... and same for cold deals, if its heading low, people just assume and click to continue its spiral downward.

As has previously been said, these bars are pretty much on par with other protein bars (minus the Carb Killa's of the world) and the cost is pretty much the same. The fact is, these are cheaper in HB than anywhere else, this is a deals site. Want a 99p protein bar that tastes disgusting? Go for it. Want a £2.50 Carb Killa? Go for it. Want something thats on offer and (to me) tastes ok? Then these could do the trick.

Or just eat a 4 pack of Mars bars and walk around the block pretending it got burnt off.
I just cut a normal snickers in half and spread peanut butter on it.. Twice the nuts and protein... Lol

Sorry Ben but you are Waaaaay Off the mark..

The Protein on a 51gm Mars Bar is at best 3gm...the calories are also around 224 so on the basis or assumption you make let's do the Maths.

Protein would be 6gm Calories would be 448 on 2 normal or as you say 4 for a Quid... Versus the Protein version in this deal 199 Calories....and 18gm Protein...

Would you like to comment Ben...??

Good One Again... I liked your previous comment...your well on Form!!
I've seen these on sale for a lot more, so even if I wouldn't buy them its hot

Makes you wonder how many good deals go missing on this site due to the negligence of how people vote hot & cold. Sheep clicking the button without looking, people voting because they like/dislike a product rather than the deal etc. Most hot deals are either games or computer components these days.
