"Throw a couple in your online shop!"

Why? It's a bog standard bitter. Average and nothing too special. It's frequently on offer for £1 (normal selling price is just £1.25).

There's usually quite a few ales at Morrisons for £1 a bottle, better than this.

Don't then, its still a saving which the site is about no? It says it was previously £1.75 on the site.
btw which other better ales other than Old Golden Hen (see other post) are £1 as I for one would like to throw a few in my shop!

Agree often on at £1 but still a bargain as you have to buy 4 to get it at £1.25. It's all down to personal taste but I like both this and the Golden Hen so happy days. Also like the Wainwright Golden Ale and only ever buys these when on offer. 🏻

Why not? I happen to like it. It's a decent 4.5% beer, and it's good to know where I can get it for £1 until 18/s, so thanks, Op!

Ermmm this is a comments section where I can express my opinion.

My personal opinion is it's just a bog standard ale. If someone wants bog standard/basic there's plenty of options out there:

Mcewans (£1 for a 500ml can)
Greene king IPA (£1 or often less for a 500ml can)
Abbot/Old speckled hen cans = Now almost always 8 cans for £9 at Tesco (£1.12 a 500ml can)

500ml Bottles (at a low price, many better than a bog standard bitter):

Hobgoblin, Bombardier, Spitfire, Adnams lighthouse, Bishops finger. All £1.25 at Tesco (Bombardier is a frequent £1 ale at Morrisons).

ASDA: Ringwood razorback, Bass, Marstons EPA, Ruddles - £1 a bottle.

Yes this is a deal site and this is a "saving" but again, in my opinion it's just not a very good deal because it's almost always at £1 anyway and there's plenty of bog standard ales available at almost all supermarkets at this price range.

If you can find Guiness west indies porter/Milk stout, Saddlers red IPA, King Goblin, Mcewans Champion or St Peters ales for £1 then it would be a cracking deal as they are far superior ales.
£1.13 for us jakey bar stewards up here. Wife just home with a couple for me.

Ok thanks when I decide to do my next online shop at a different store I’ll bear those in mind or I could always reach for my time machine and buy a different £1 ale at Morrison’s. Thanks again.
Bloody Tories :0(
Brakspear Oxford Gold was recently £1/bottle at Morrisons, much better stuff IMO...comes around every 3/4 months as a rule.
Geez some of you guys are hard to please. In my universe £1 for a 500ml bottle of perfectly quaffable 4.5% ale is a bargain. Agreed that given a choice we may prefer some ales more than others but for a measly £1, who cares? Factor in that for most of the time Pedigree at Morrisons is part of the 4 for £6 offer makes this a valid hot deal.
