If richer sound ll beat this price 1349? 5 years vs 6 years they r offering?

Yes it arrived a few days ago. Very pleased!

Did you get the deal? Mine came yesterday.

It was over my budget to to be honest. I didn’t want to spend more than £800 but when I saw the LG OLED in Currys I had to have it!

Great price just a bit out of my price range for me I went for the nu8000 for £720 from Crampton and Moore in the end as wont be so worried with 2 little ones running around

Worked. Thanks very much! They are shipping me the new model tomorrow as well as the sound bar and it only.cost £1189!

Thanks OP and those that mention Richer Sounds above. Richer Sounds have the Samsung QE55Q7FN for £1299 they just did a price match for me (telesales) so got it for £1159.10 with 6 years guarantee.

If richer sounds will price match and beat by 20, can get the 55 inch q9 for 1599.10 with 6 years warranty. Not sure it'll get better than that for black Friday. Am sorely tempted

How far are u from TV?? I'm about 8ft so maybe 55 would be too big..

Yep, saw it in store first. 65 inch just too big!

Upscaling wise yeah

Wow! Talk about First World problems!!!! - Are you honestly telling me current tv is

No both had dark scenes and they were running the same demo. The blacks are almost as good as the oled with local dimming. The only difference you will see it is in a dark room watching a movie, even then it’s a little bit of blooming, the black bars are just as black because those zones are off. It looked three times brighter as well, it made the oled look so dim and washed out. The Q9FN had this 3D like look, everything looked so real and the oled looked quite pathetic. I know people say oled is better, but I don’t watch many movies or live in the dark. Also the Q9FN has way better latencg figures for gaming, which is what I will do most. Im gonna wait for 8K to come down in price, then buy one of those Samsung’s as I don’t think oled is that good. The best thing about 8K is that have to build good upscaleea finallt, apparently they’re upscaling 720p to 8K better than 4K TVs are upscaling to 4K..... so maybe tv will be watchable finally.

It's probably because on display, they only show the bright/colourful scenes which QLED does indeed do better in, but in dark scenes nothing beats OLED as each individual pixel is lit individual so in complete darkness those pixels can be turned off as necessary.

What a stupid comment

Not if your after a 49” TV like I am. A 55” TV is too wide to fit in the gap unless I take out the fireplace

They do and you probably won’t need it good machines but ours lasted 6 years, called up to ask about the 10 year motor warranty and customer service was hopeless. Sounded like the lady didn’t have a clue, when I asked how you go about claiming. in the end found out you have to pay £139 if it’s the motor then that’s free, if it’s not then the charge could be anything but the £139 is non refundable. They don’t have their own engineers so get a local guy to come out. In the end ours was the bearings not an easy job on our model and very expensive in labour charges.

Waiting for the next steam sale.

Outstanding - thank you.

I think the reason the water fills in sharp bursts is because of it's energy efficiency and works in tandem with the 6 motion system. The pattern varies according to the wash program and the load volume. All very clever stuff.

If you haven't already seen it check out this post. This model qualified for the extended 5 Year warranty if purchased on or after 28th March 2018.

Mine arrived today, installed myself with no issues, nor to my floor. Even dragged the thing across the house myself ;-) I wanted to test the machine so I tried 4 pillow cases on the allergy care thing (steam) the machine set itself to 3 hours 11 minutes, for the next 5-10 minutes it done nothing apart from occasionally spin a bit (single spins, minutes apart). No errors or anything, and nothing else going on inside. So I'm unsure what thats all about. I cancelled the cycle and put it on a fast wash 30mins, no problem and away it went. Certainly does take in water differently to my last, in sharp bursts whereas my old machine would just make a "filling up" noise. I will close of my valve a bit to see if that helps. If someone could shed some light on the steam attempt I made It would be helpful. Also done a medium sized mixed load, definitely better than my old machine, clothes noticeably cleaner / nicer smelling, I suspect my old machine was not heating up the water or atleast not to correct level. It did make a hell of a racket once up-to 1400rmp but I quickly adjusted the front two feet, tomorrow I will properly balance it with a spirit, even though it's on hard tiles and had no give or wiggle, clearly the smallest imbalance can make a big difference in accustics. Overall more silent than previous machine, but I will report back when I have sorted the feet. P.S. the included spanner may as-well be made of cheese, POS. Bahco <3

Managed to get John Lewis to price match before last one sold. Thanks. Will wait until after black Friday to decide

Last one appears to have been sold!

How much black can you watch though? 😃 (y) 🏿

He’s trying to say get a 55” OLED instead of a 65” LED. On a separate note the Sony is a really good TV for its money if not the best tv this year. (Price and spec wise). I’m personally gonna get the LGC7 55” come Black Friday. The blacks are amazing on the OLED.

If you show me where you can get a 65" OLED .... i'm in
