Really enjoyed this (Origin client)

Not everyone will survive. An ancient race known only as "Reapers", has launched an all-out invasion leaving nothing but a trail of destruction in their wake. Earth Has been taken, the galaxy is on the verge of total annihilation, and you are the only one who can stop them.

The price of failure is extinction. You are Commander Shephard, a character that you can forge in your own image.

You determine how events will play out, which planets to explore, and whom to form alliances with as you rally a force to eliminate the Reaper threat once and for all. How you wage this war is completely up to you: go into combat with guns blazing or use cover to plan a more tactical assault. Utilise your squad to full effect or take a lone wolf approach. Rain death from a distance or go toe-to-toe with enemies using devastating melee attacks. Mass Effect 3 will react to each decision you make as you play through a truly unique experience of your own creation.

GMG state DRM = Origin
great game, though play 2 first if you are new to the series. still play the multiplayer which still receives updates.

bought mine from gmg and they do indeed give you an origin key.
Well that's me out then, sadly. Would've bought this if it had a steam key, but Origin? Do I really need any more rubbish on my PC to allow me to run games I've bought? Nope. I don't.

I don't think Mass Effect 3 will ever be on Steam now that Origin is live.
A shame for us neurotics that would like to have the trilogy in one place.
I have all 3 on origin as the retail keys for mass effect 1 and 2 worked.

I'm loving 'n' bathing in all the spyware goodness .................
Steam worship...*sigh*
Everytime you buy through Origin, EA kill a software company. Please think of the software companies...

Back on topic though, good price for the game

Nothing really worship, more just appreciation of the lesser evil.
let's go ahead and not have this Origin/Steam argument for the 84975480th time

They are as bad as each other. There are options you can de-select in settings as well. Regardless of these options they are both collecting data on your machine.

I don't see how competition is bad though

You missed all the drama when EA launched Origin and made all their games Origin exclusive and stopped sales on Steam. You won't find any new EA games on Steam.

They stopped selling certain titles on Steam as Valve wanted a cut for DLC sales sold in game and EA didn't like that.

I love how people hate EA for not selling games on Steam but it's ok for Valve to have never sold their titles online anywhere but Steam.

Also, this was released only last week.

That's because that is an expansion to the The Sims 3, released in 2009. It says there "Requires the base game The Sims™ 3 on Steam in order to play". So anything aleady on there will remain on Steam and DLCs will be sold as it would be unfair on players who purchased the base games on steam.
LOL well, I can't say I noticed the lack of EA games on steam until now.

I don't hate EA for not selling on steam. I already have plenty of reasons to hate EA. One of the recent reasons is that they took my money for a game on android, then a month later withdrew my phone's support, so I can't actually play it. And they do it all the time on android.

I'm not installing Origin so I guess I'm not playing EA games. I can't say I'm feeling much loss, sure it's a shame about mass effect 3 but I guess I'll get round to playing it on a console eventually or whenever EA go bust and do a humble bundle deal with steam keys (lol!)

Valid point.
Cheers, bought.

Was considering it when it was around £10, have to be made to miss it at this price!
Not bad! just bought it
Very good price, especially if you have played through the other 2 games (you've got to finish a set!)

Mods deleting my valid comment again. Ok, own up, which one of you is paid by EA?

What is your point, you just post a pic and that's it? What is it about the picture that concerns you?
It's Origin scanning all your stuff, friend. Hence spyware.

To me it looks like Origin is scanning your "stuff" to find existing games to add your your games list in Origin.

Plus you agree to it when you install the program, I don't see the problem.

What's your point? You should really learn how to read process monitor traces, as you clearly don't have the slightest clue in what you're talking about.

Hot for a brilliant game, paid £30 on release for this and don't regret it, ending was a bit of a let down though

You hate Origin for being "spyware" but Steam does the same thing, just like lots of programs. Do you even know what the information in the picture means?

Great price for a great game!

Not really bothered about which client it runs on but getting fed up of having 4 different clients to launch my games on (Steam, Origin, Uplay, Xbox Live). No doubt this number will increase over the next 12 months which is grim.

Please for the love of PC gaming I wish the distributors would just agree on a single platform as the central hub for launching PC games???

Would be a bad idea ^^
Process monitor shows a standard connection when logging into my account.
It then scans the directory where I specifically install my Origin games.

You can disable all the system monitoring/anonymous usage in your account settings.
I see very little reason to hold such a grudge.

Good price, shame about the game
GMG website is absolute ****, Buy Now button does nothing and I eventually managed to get it into my basket and got the same thing from the Checkout button. Chrome, Firefox & IE9. Afraid I have to vote cold.
