I spent about 100 hours playing it and enjoyed it.
The game that killed a great series
I wouldn’t bother. ME 1-3 are some of my favourite games of all time but Andromeda just didn’t feel right. Played after all the patches, still felt a bit buggy but just didn’t capture my attention.

If you go to the PSN page, there's a demo you can download. I just played it for an hour and a half and didnt get to the end, in fact it let me save. I haven’t played the other games, so no comparison point, but on its own merits it seemed worth £3.99 ... judge for yourself

edit: just seen that it’s a 'trial' version and there are still eight hours still remaining, very generous really

Really was a buggy mess, not sure how it is now i.e. whether they've patched it or not. Nowhere near as good as the main series though, that's for definite

The game that killed a great series

I haven't played it but ME3 arguably killed the series with that dire ending imo. This is ME in name only and you just enjoy it for what it is i guess. At this price you can't really even grumble with the quirks for how many hours of gameplay you get

I think it's decent. Well worth £3.99.
I personally enjoyed this but classic EA they pushed for an early release when the game clearly wasn't finished. They need to stop interfering with bioware and just let them make great games. You only have to look at anthem to see what happens when publishers get involved.

The other three games with (ME3) being the best of the 3, are all polished, patched and like Andromeda....abandoned. But if played on PC, all 4 games can be heavily modded/patched and ME3 for instance, can have an ending of your choice (for the cry babies). All 4 games have Game Guides available if you so wish, i also believe all DLC is available, and on PC there is a XBOX360 Controller mod, so it might be worth picking up the trilogy and MEA on PC. All 4 games have their own merits and strengths, a rich detailed story, characters and lore. The best experience is on PC, and the ''ALOT Texture Mod Pack 2019'' is a must for a decent gaming pc. The games are now cheap as chips, installing mods is now very easy, and the end result is rewarding. Don't know about consoles, i would expect the experience to be much like waking up with a hangover next to Anita Sarkeesian.

This will give you a taste of a modded Mass Effect:

Andromeda has it flaws but I enjoyed the combat more than ME3. I also thought the bugs were hilarious and didn't put me off
Well worth £3.99 have some heat!
Decent game. Online was really fun but unsure what the player base is like these days. The game has some great ME moments, every time you successfully terraform a planet it's a great feeling.
I really liked it isn't as bad as people make out and for this price why not

£3.99 like. Less than the price of a pint.
Only way it wouldn't be worth it would be if it bricks your console. Treat it on its own merits.

I doubt they'd recapture past glories even if EA left them to their own devices. Every person that made BioWare, well, BioWare has long since left them. The only thing BioWare have in common with the old BioWare is the name.

Not that buggy at all. Functions well. Definitely not as good in story as the first 3 games, but game plays decently
My face is tired.
It's certainly a deal, but is it really worth the time, especially when there are so many other great games out there?

That’s exactly why I stopped playing it (got it as part of EA Access). For the same price (or less) you can get God of War or Horizon Zero Dawn complete edition from cdkeys on a US account. Much better to buy them if you haven’t played them.
It got slated but I enjoyed this. Played a lot worse especially for the price
I've heard good things, is it decent
Great game.

It's a good game. It just had a troubled upbringing and got compared to its elder, more successful siblings.

It's well worth playing for the beautiful planets that you visit, the great loyalty missions and the final mission.
I enjoyed it even on release prior to the patching. Well worth it at £3.99.

Will I enjoy it if I loved The Outer Worlds? I want an experience like that and not Fallout which I've always found boring.
Why paying £4 for digital copy when you can get physical for pretty much same price?
Not worth playing for free, pass
It's a decent game: beautiful, expansive and usually fun. Narratively not a patch on the original trilogy, and their need to make it a bit open-worldy means (to me) it feels a little aimless at times.
Now it's all patched up, it's amazing value for £4.

Each to their own, but at this amount of money I'd rather go for the convenience of a download.
Loved the original trilogy, but this felt like a cheap knockoff of the originals. It felt like they gender-reversed all of the main characters and made them more annoying, so I couldn't get into it. Finished the campaign but have no motivation to go back to it. ME1-3 however...
Great price, pity it's such an awful game....

If you liked OW for the humour and the underlying commentary on capitalism, you won't find that here.

If you enjoyed the exploration, lore and the combat, then you would enjoy this too.
The PvE multiplayer was great too, though I can't say how active the community is now.

The original was stonkingly good, it's really worth a play through
The game has some of best combat of all the Mass Effect series, the story is quite interesting also. Long as you can get over the weird facial animations, much better now than was at release.
£3.99 for probably 40-50 hrs of good RPG gameplay is probably a no brainer, just ignore the micro transaction loot boxes they not needed.

I wish I could've played it that long, whenever I got to the 1st "boss" it kept giving me an error, I I stalled and uninstalled it about 12x and kept doing it so never went back to it but was actually enjoying it tbh
I got to a giant ice world got bored and gave up have no idea how far into the game that is
Just crank down your expectations if you’ve played 1, 2 & 3 and you’ll enjoy this.
