Any good at this price?

Its had a lot of updates to fix the mess it was at launch. At the price of a beer, it's definitely worth it in my opinion

Really wish they'd release the collection on ps4

Be rude not to. Really enjoyed this on the PC.

I didn't play at launch, played about 6months later and there were next to no bugs! Characters are a little one dimensional compared to earlier ME games and it DOES finish leaving you wanting a conclusion that we're probably not getting as I believe it was planned for axed DLC.

Heat added*

*don't trust me I enjoyed Anthem when I could finally connect to it. (thank you Google DNS!!)

I loved the mass effect games and grabbed this for £6 at cex a couple of months ago thinking it would have been fixed. It was terrible. The dialogue scenes in particular were horrifying nightmare fuel . It was also for me very boring, average gunplay and poor AI. I guess heat for the price though

I was very disappointed in the story. The dialogue is so bad in some scenes. Almost as if it was originally in Japanese and they just used Google translate to produce the English version.

The worst part of it is that you can feel that an extra year in development or no wasted developer effort on a multiplayer mode would have made this a fantastic Mass Effect entry. Alas it isn't and will most likely just make you want to play the old ones.

To be fair I did quick enjoy the combat. Biotic charging all over the place is quite fun!

Edit: Oh if you do get it there is a problem with the autosave files corrupting, sounds ridiculous on a AAA game I know. So just make sure you manually save every now and then. I lost 3 hours of gameplay to this.

I got 70-hours out of this on the Xbox, for about double this price. If you played the previous ME games and enjoyed them, this is a no brainer. I don;t understand folk who slagged the gameplay off, when as far as I can tell it was near identical to ME3.

Yes, there was the odd bug when I played through it (weird graphical glitch at one point), but for the most part I thought it was fairly stable.
If the publisher couldn't give a crap about this game I dont see why we should whatever the price. What are we, puppets?
...all I will say is that it’s no Mass Effect 2

IMO at this price it's a no brainer if you're a Mass Effect fan. No, it's not on par with the original trilogy in almost every way with a bland story, average to bad dialogue and mostly dull side-quests. The main quests however are pretty solid ME and the gunplay has definitely been improved with the ability to warp around. Some of the crew you'll also warm to, they're all thrust upon you pretty quickly and many are quiet dull, but two are three are pretty good once you do a few missions with them and talk to them. They're just no Garrus or Wrex.

I paid £6 and had plenty of entertainment for that.

Found this game so flat found the characters completely 1 dimensional missions where just lazy and got boring really fast so I gave up. It just feels like a lot of ideas mashed together to make a game
This isn't as good as Mass Effect 2, but what is? I still really enjoyed this and for under £4 it's most certainly worth the money. If you decide against buying it solely because it's EA then you're missing out for the sake of being petty.

Mass effect 2 was definitely the high point in the series. For 4 quid, I may give it a purchase to play at a later date.
For everyone posting negative comments about it, are you looking at it objectively?
It's £3.59.
£3.59 for a (yes like it or not) AAA game. Not £45 like it was on release! £3.59.
Even if you don't like what direction they went or how different it is from the trilogy, that's a very small sum.
For about a pound over the price of a nice cup of coffee, you have potentially 50+ hours of entertainment.
I think it's worth the risk.
Thankfully i got this on EA access so at least i did not buy it, and i would not even call this a MS game, bland generic baddies with bland generic charactors and lots and lots of busy, because if you stop to think for one moment what you are doing in this game you will turn it off. lol

My EA Access runs out this month so i won't be renewing it, but hopefully the remstered fan favs they just stated are being releasing in 2020 will be Mass effect 1 and 2.
Great price. This game has a lot of hate, I'm a massive Mass Effect fan, and this game did let me down somewhat, but I'm on my 2nd play through now and I'm really enjoying it. It's more than worth it for this price, and I recommend anyone who's not happy with it, to give it another go, you appreciate it a lot more
4 for 20 preowned at game....if you want retail.
Good price, what is the difference with the Standard Recruit Edition anyone?
