Anyone who laughs are this game has not played it properly and completed it, fantastic gameplay and story, sure it had its problems but most have been fixed and it’s really fun!

For £7 it's worth a laugh.

Did they have much else?

No not really, not for Xbox. I did not look for any other console.

After completing it, and nearly every side mission possible, I lament at the missed opportunity that it was. There are occasional sparks of brilliance and areas of extremely good flowing dialogue, Liam's primary mission for example, sure the mission itself was vanilla, but the dialogue, the dialogue really brought it up to the gold standard of what Bioware does best.

If they'd just put in 6 more months, fixed the major bugs and added decent dialogue throughout every mission it would have been a worthy successor to the ME 1-3.

Overall I enjoyed it, and anyone who enjoys a good RPG should definitely buy it.

Disagree. Huge fan of mass effect series and despite how they ruined the ending of ME3, entire series as amazing. I have played this game on launch and completed it and it was soulless compared to ME1-3, I didnt connect with or care about any of the characters, and its already been confirmed that the 'universe' created for this game is dead with no DLC to come, and unlikely to get sequel due to Anthem/Star wars game taking up all of Bioware resources for the forseeable. Bugs at launch aside, which were horrific, and laughable character models etc, it is a very average game. I played it through because it was mass effect, but I did not enjoy it.
Would prefer it on the PS4 but at this price I guess I could dust off the Xbox One. I last used it for replaying the original trilogy via backwards compatibility so it seems appropriate. I've played the demo and didn't think it was as bad as the hysteria surrounding it would have had me believe. I don't doubt that it's got it's issues, technical and otherwise, but I'm not expecting it to live up to the Shepard games anyway so I'm prepared to enjoy it for what it is.
Store specific. Still £32 in my local.

You see I actually thought the characters were brilliant, surprisingly for such a small line up. But we had no mordin, no tali, half the species are missing etc. I agree with the other guy that 6 months more was needed to make it amazing. It needed more planets to explore and make viable etc. There need to be at least two more different characters e.g. a salarian, or even a batarian. But overall the main thing for me is that it’s still made me sit here in front the tv and play it, whilst still making sure I come back for more. I’m looking at it more as a refreshing first episode in a spin off mass effect series that’s integral to the first 3, if andromeda 2 comes along it should be on lines of mass effect 2!

I honestly can’t see it getting a sequel, sales were disappointing, they’re not making any DLC, it took them years to make and it was hammered on release and they’ve got their hands full with other IPs which are likely to be more successful.

It pains me as a big fan of the Mass Effect that I have never played this game and likely never will. What EA did to this series is unforgivable. We were very lucky that Mass Effect 2 turned out the way it did, but Mass Effect 3 ultimately ended in disappointment and Andromeda may as well have never existed. If we could somehow get rid of EA the world would be a better place.

It’s EA that’s the problem, they need to be killed off like the other guy said, they transferred like half the development team from bioware over to the devs who made Star Wars battlefront 2, and useless game just like the first. If EA didn’t dictate their decisions, then mass effect would be miles better, mass effect 3’s ending despite being “fixed” was unforgivable, and so inconclusive. Andromeda was and is a step in the right direction but it’s been let down by neglect from EA who like to monetise everything eg micro transactions.
