Much like the Revolut trick of old when using the Argentina and Turkey stores, games can be purchased at face value from the Hungary, Czech, Norway, Iceland and Poland Xbox Stores but using any debit card without the use of a VPN. Naturally, fee free cards are going to work best ie. Monzo, Starling, Clarity and Revolut.
A slight saving can therefore be had buying this game vs purchasing from the UK Xbox store.

I don't think we've been playing the same game , I just started ME1 on legendary edition and it by no means feels or looks like the 14 year old game ME1 actually is.
Visually it easily could be a 5 year old game and is the first remaster I've seen that isn't just simply an up scaled version of the original game. It looks fantastic, granted I obviously haven't yet played the remasters of 2 and 3 but I've been nothing but impressed so far and actually can't wait for the second

having owned the originals already I wanted legendary edition but knew it would come to ea access / ultimate so managed to wait it out
booted it up the other day to start and thanked the stars I never spent a penny on this. It’s the very epitome of an uprezzed PS3/360 game with some dodgy choices on the overall presentation
no wonder EA said for years they would never do uprezzed hider of old classics if this is what they churn out when they finally cave

Didn’t say that the original was better, but that the legendary edition starting at the beginning with ME1 is a terrible upscaled port - it reminds me of the lazy HD remakes we saw on the PS3/X360 era - at least on a Series X selecting graphics over frame rate - should I be selecting performance to make it look better
maybe ME2 & ME3 are better, but I was very glad to have not spent a penny on the legendary edition

You clearly dont know what you are talkking about and are giving false information.
ME1 is not a "terrible upscaled port". Perhaps you should check out the Digital Foundry videos which details just how much work has gone into the 1st game in particular. Volumetric lighting, improved textures, addition of objects, screen space reflections, updated interface, improved controls etc.
I think if you actually went back and played the original ME1 on the 360 you may change your tune.
The only reason I'd ever advocate it is because the second game is just so God damn good people should play it as soon as they can
(I agree with all your points though, plus wheres the fun in playing a game that let's you take your character through the games if you're not going to start with the first one to take your character through the games?)
