Not in this branch - these are new and pretty big reductions - especially on the hoodies.

The t shirts occasionally one or two go down to £5 - but it seems like they have marked them all up at £5 this time. I don't normally see the SNES one or rocket league that cheap for example...

Wouldn’t say “massive” it’s mostly the overpriced trash that’s sat on the rack for over a year.

They had the SNES hoodie in my local store, but only in Small or Medium... so that's pretty much useless for almost all their customers then who actually remember the SNES!

I want that for my brother. Really doubt my local will have it. And that's 3 miles away. ><

Why? Because people get fat?

If they're true to size then a Medium would fit average build.

I used to always get large, but try to get things that fit me these days and Medium is often correct. And I'm 6 foot tall. And more an athletic build than skinny.

Would probably go for large with merch to play it safe though. Actually my hoodies are all large - but I do buy medium shirts now.

So I bought one of the SNES hoodie for £20 a while back (silly me). I would say the fit is kind of large. I have a medium and its pretty big on me. So if you are between sizes go for the smaller one..
Actually love the look of that SNES hoodie, and those numskull "alter ego" Marvel tops are super nerdy cool fun. Hot.
Heat added fam. Got me a sweet Forza Motorsport 7 hoodie for £9.99

Clothes used to be what was a regular fit if you were a medium build it would fit you. Today they have slim or tailored which unless you are rake like size you have to get the next size up.

It really is a puzzle how we are always being told as a nation we are getting fatter now how come we have all these tight clothes. Could then not do a medium relaxed fit or a large slightly baggy fit.

I have gone into a shop (super dry I am looking at you) picked up two large T-shirts in different styles. One I could hardly get over my head the and other fitted prefectly.

Because fashion isn't about practicality and goes in waves/cycles.

90s was baggy, now it's all slim/skinny like it was before baggy got big from 80s I suppose.

Clothes were oversized in the 90s - you didn't physically need it that large.

Now sometimes you can't physically get into something - I generally can't even wear regular jeans - but generally it just means it fits tight - which is the fashion.

So a slim fit top isn't meant to have much excess fabric at all.

As someone that likes and wore a lot of baggy clothes I actually like slim fitting t-shirts. Not really slim, but anyway. They're not impractical.

Slim fit jeans on the other hand I can't even wear - but standard regular trousers aren't practical for me either - they restrict my movement.

But fashion clothing isn't designed to be practical, and I guess the average person has chicken legs.

They're not designed to go climbing or running around in.

Anyway, for slim fit I buy large and for regular I buy medium. That generally works. When I used to just buy large, and even owned XL or larger back in the day (despite being smaller) - for a properly baggy fit.

I do think a modern fit generally looks better for tops and doesn't hamper movement - especially for short sleeved tops.
And a slim fit large still fits closer and smarter than a regular fit medium typically.

Anyway, I ordered a Large Iron Man alter ego top. Shame there's no spidey on offer. Might check a store.
Cheers for the heads up on.

TL/DR; fashion isn't about practicality. It's hardly going to follow societal weight trends - if anything it makes sense for it be contrary.
And I'm not defending fashion by the way. Buying trousers in a pain.

Another benefit of slim and tailored fits are that you can have something that fits smarter without having it too short in length.
Not really possible with a regular fit unless the cut is really long.

I do think tailored or slim fit shirts look a lot better than a classic cut too. Classic cut is seriously boxy. That's more a UK sartorial thing though. I imagine Italian suits and shirts weren't cut as boxilly traditionally. What are you supposed to do with all that excess material?

Tell me more about yourself please, it is so interesting !
Lol, fairplay. Sizing can be a minefield but all I was trying to say is the assumption that a medium would be too small for the supposed target demographic is incorrect. Other's put it more succinctly and perhaps less politely.

I find it useful then people say what build and height they are and the sizing that works for them, but heh. I guess I'll spare others the detail and won't report back how the Large fits me!
