You pay dearly only if you are careless. In fact, without a fee-free card the EXTRA amount you pay is smaller than with a fee-free card.
Yes, but unless you have a fee-free card you will still pay dearly for it.
No deal here. Happy to keep letting the monza etc take that revenue.
Absolutely different incomparable things. There are two types of charges on foreign currency transactions 1. Your card is charged in local currency. Mastercard/Visa rate is used for conversion, extra charge added by your bank 2. Merchants offer you to pay in £ instead of local currency and use their own, bad for you, rate for conversion (DCC) Mastercard/Visa rate is good, close to the interbank one. Halifax doesn't add (1) for Clarity transactions. You can and always was able to refuse to pay in £, thus avoiding (2). Just check what amount and in what currency your are asked to authorise.
Thanks, worked for me, as said above can now redeem 950 points for 10 quid voucher, there's a few items on the site for a fiver as it costs 3.50 postage. My spend was 5.50 plus postage.
It’s been updated now, can redeem for £10 John Lewis e-gift card, just done it
I signed up for this offer with a prepaid Mastercard using the code MSE10 to get the 1000 points. The ICE representative on the MSE forums has said that due to unprecedented demand (was in the MSE email) they had ran out of vouchers (something about them expiring) but more would be on the site today. Sure enough the minimum amount of points you can exchange has increased from 50 points = £1 to 450 = £5....Still not at the 950 points for £10 but getting there. Seemingly the John Lewis vouchers are working fine and that it's just the M&S vouchers they are having trouble with. I read that you make your purchase as normal with your Mastercard and you will then receive an email with a link that will refund the £10 to your "credit card" (Mastercard). How this works for prepaid cards or other Mastercards would be something to watch.
Finally got a code. I know it says it's an online code, but anyone know if you could spend this in-store?
Yep. And when you try and spend the points there are a pile of ridiculous limitations on the number of points you can spend and how often (wait three months wtf?!)
sorry am i am bit confused set up card ect how do i get the code say i have registered for it but no code
Nah apparently the UK version of Samsung Pay doesn't have the magnetic strip bit enabled, which is literally the only benefit over Google Pay
Last time I checked it's a £30 limit if the phone is locked and unlimited if unlocked with Google and Apple pay.
I thought HSBC only did visas
I don't get these, takes 3 seconds to get my phone out and flash it, takes 3 second's to get my Bank card and flash it, but I don't have to ,realy on phone Being on or card details on phone. hence when i went to the shop, the guy went to pay with his iPhone but his phone was offf, so he had to wait for it too turn on
As well as the promo code 'inews10' (1000 points worth at least £10) there's winter2018 which gives you 500 points (worth at least £5). I've also found ''MyTW10' (which should give you another 1000 points worth at least £10). I keep saying at least because with some retailers your first so many points are worth more 1p each!
This isn't actually run by Mastercard, but that famous company called ' Ice '. Hmmm.
iNEWS10 + the mc200 above = 1200 free points (£12??)
Use iNEWS10 for £10 worth of free points. https://www.myice.com/inews/

Any chance anyone had the price list for shows? Thanks a lot!
Thanks pickledtink. That's exactly where mine were.
Yes I got all 3 of mine but they were all in my junk folder.
Has anyone received booking confirmation by email yet? I bought tickets this morning but no email yet.
It's only twice per period, technically excludes Starbucks cards top-ups and tracking is especially flaky at franchised stores. Franchised stores also don't always automatically apply 'Gold' Starbucks freebies either.
Or you could buy a less expensive coffee. forgo the cashback but still end up quids in
it should be on every purchase of up to £5. So if you spent a fiver in Starbucks each day, you TCB should be £1.25 per day, resulting in £5.25 TCB each week.
You may not be able to do that. Cash back is only on purchases up to £5
Is this £1.25 cash back max? Can it be used twice therefore £2.50 in total? T&Cs aren't very clear
You can also use tastecard or other voucher codes as it's not a promotion it's a method of payment.
This needs massive heat, 8 of us going to Wagamama tomorrow getting £120 off the bill and I get £35 into my wallet as I've referred the other 7 no brainer
worked great for us last night! can't wait to use it again.
Once you're there, you check in to the restaurant in the app and you give the waitress the table number, generated by app. Others sign in to the table using the same number. The order will appear on all phones and each of you can claim the item and pay for it from your balance and top-up with your debit card if needed. As far as I can tell there can be 10 of you and it will work the same.
Yup, a refers b, who refers c etc so you all have £15 credit. Check you each have the credit in the rewards tab before you go. When in the restaurant, all search for the restaurant you're in. One of you clicks "start a table" and you get a 4 digit code. You give this to your server. The rest of the table then click "join a table" & use the 4 digit code. At the end of the meal, each person clicks the items they want to pay for. It is quite a clunky app, but worth it for £15 each! If you're using at wagamama, check if they're running 10% off for QKR users-our branch was last night. This discount needs to be applied by the server before you pay on the app.
Show the app with your MasterCard on it. Don't tap, they can use their code (MasterCard) which makes your coffee free.
With regards to Cafe Nero do you have to show android pay with mastercard or tap payment?
my understanding is that they charge you but Mastercard then put a refund on your card. I was going to try this yesterday but the Mastercard i had with me didn't support android pat. Blooming Yorkshire bsnk
Is it only android pay Mastercards then? That sucks if so, so few banks accept it, and even fewer banks seem to use Mastercard... How does it work if you claim it? Do you just hope it doesn't charge you?
Havn't got a mastercard, and i am not sure if the one i get from Revoult will work
Via Facebook messenger :)!
How did you contact Mastercard? I have an issue as well. But they've all been passing me back and forth
Contacted MasterCard (after originally contacting my card issuer) regarding the Caffe Nero refund not coming through. Was told you only had to show your card, not actually pay with it. Looking at their terms and conditions this is indeed stated there, but I don't feel they made it particularly clear :( MasterCard are sending me a free Neros voucher as compensation, which is nice of them, but I still feel the terms could have been a little clearer. Oh well, live and learn!
Cheers for the reply mate, appreciate you taking the time.
Yes, I did get the Leon. The screen brightness comments I also saw isnt an issue to me, esp for 29pounds. Its possible I cant tell the difference with my DoogeeX5Pro. But, Barclaycard isnt accepted by Android Pay. Ungh!!! Although it is Android 6, adoptable storage isnt enabled but only portable storage. Nevertheless, you are still allowed to move some apps to sdcard. However, being used to be able to stuff my mobile with apps and music, the Leon isnt that. Would use it as a glorified credit card. Once I figure out the Revolut card, might try it with Android Pay but it vorks for some but not others. For the time being its my new pet white elephant. Have been looking at Bluboo Picasso nfc 4g at around 60-70pounds presale. But with my hand firmly on my wallet. It could be ideal except no fingerprint sensor otherwise almost like the DoogeeX5Pro but plus nfc. Hope this helps.
I did mine on the app and it got tracked and confirmed.
Been doing this for months but lesson learnt - activate on the website not the app and keep your receipt!
Thanks op heated Will give this a try
Shame your description doesn't state Mastercard only.
Ya Shame that you don't have MasterCard. Guess it's for those SB drinkers and MasterCard user then...
Good for the 2 for 1 vouchers, looked through some of the offers and the prices in other cities are ridiculous! E.g. 'VIP' ice bar for 2 in Vegas = $500. Booking directly via the official website = $150!!
sorry but how do i access applepay i realise its stupid but just got an iphone 6s and havent used it before
Thanks OP, this is a great deal for those Londoners that can use and benefit from it. Meanwhile, I'll just wait for the deal to move North and move to Andrid.
Some people seem to enjoy making things complicated. This is, no doubt, a HOT deal!
The name Apple Pay says it all. Only valid on 6 or 6s phone models and certain iPads.
Thanks for this - it'll save me £22.80.
You can use it all in the same card as long as it is not over 27.90 per card per promotion period.
What if you have more than one master-card - can you get the offer on both - i.e. free travel to the office in the morning on one card and free ride back in the evening on the other? :D
That has been mentioned.
First time I've seen this on HukD so heat from me! Thanks.
already posted https://www.hotukdeals.com/freebies/travel-for-free-transport-for-london-every-monday-from-nov-23rd-dec-14th-using-mastercard-2326452
london... is it not discrimination.
its good deal but you need to buy train or paper travel card!
The London one is good, we went on NY Day. My kids loves the huge shark tank and the Nemo/Dory tank.
Great, going dungeon in a few weeks. Now someone find me a decent hotel deal in Marylebone
Is Sea Life any good? What's the price for an adult ticket?
Total rip off with or without code.
Thank you kindly good man!
You just have to find them for yourself by visiting that Priceless.com website. You can create an account there and they will sometimes email you when they have something to say.
@mkdonald where do you get Mastercard offers from? I have Mastercard and I've never been told/ invited to join any kind of offer. How do you do that? Thanks
This year's offer is at https://www.priceless.com/en-gb/unitedkingdom/Heathrow-Express-Discount-UK/offer.html [you probably won't get to see all the offer properly until you select United Kingdom + London] There's some more links/information [including reminder of the lower priced/slower links] on the HUKD I posted for 2014 tickets at https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/12-off-heathrow-express-online-tickets-for-mastercard-holders-31-1-15-2018890
Thanks dybydx. Expired now.
Yes - the "price" includes skate hire. But you are (usually) welcome to bring and use your own.
Thanks dybydx. Does anyone know if ice skates are provided?
wish i lived nearer to London
How much is the usual price? Also just checking, 5th Jan is a Sunday so the remaining days are only 16th, 23rd abd 30th Jan.. (it says inclusive which it world only bother saying if it made a difference) Also anyone know if the card holder has to be present? My dad would ve happy lending me his card for the day, but can't make it due to work. Great find anyway! Thanks!
