MasterChef 2-burner Gas BBQ with Side Burner - Tesco Direct - £67.95 delivered

Was £200.00 then £80.00 and now £60, and on Clubcard boost (so £30 of vouchers, or £34 to cover delivery too). Clubcard boost finishes midnight tomorrow. 4.5/5 stars with nearly 200 votes, figured it was worth a go since I had £35 of vouchers lying about!

Looks like a decent size for a small family gathering, and the reviews are quite positive. Some reviewers suggest lava rocks to make the heat a bit more even, but they aren't too expensive.

From the Tesco description:

"2 burner gas BBQ features a stainless steel lid with built-in thermometer and an enamelled steel grill. It includes 2 high control gas burners plus a side burner and warming rack. The compact cooking area can easily accommodate meals for small family gatherings. For added convenience, this MasterChef barbeque comes equipped with 4 wheels for easy manoeuvrability."

No risk of that happening for at least next 8 months.
Cheers op! Ordered! Have been considering a gas BBQ for a while....but wanted a compact one. This seems to be.
Should the terms Gas & BBQ be used in the same sentence
God dam it it's a gas grill and pointless
bought one as a present to use up £40 worth of vouchers, bargain even without using vouchers

Yes they should...

Grill is just what the Americans more commonly call a BBQ. Gas grill or charcoal grill, over here gas bbq or charcoal bbq.

If you're a charcoal man, well done and good for you but please don't start another tedious discussion about gas vs coal!
Taste the meat not the heat ...
gutted mines was delivered today for £80.
Thank you op! Made good use of £30 worth tesco vouchers!

Thanks OP, I just got one.
It seems to free up stock every half hour I.e 11:30, 12:00 etc as people that add to basket but don't buy have their items returned back for sale.

I signed up for the delivery saver but it didn't work even after refreshing the page a couple of times and it stating that my free delivery service was immediately available on my account.

A very nice lady sorted a refund for the delivery when I called them!

I had £19 of clubcard points which doubled to £38.

I'll have paid £22 for this in the end which I'm happy with. Although I can't quadruple those points into Pizza Express tokens in happy.

Anyone know if this would work?
hotukdeals.com/dea…980
Also what regulator/parts may additionally be needed if so?
Edited by: "escortboy" 13th Sep 2015
Or propane here, as it states the bbq comes with a propane regulator?

received mine today, cover is black so perhaps they changed them due to this

front panel on mine has a small dent bottom right but other than that it's a very nice bbq

contacted them with pictures, they've refunded me the full amount paid on my card and just used the clubcard points as payment so all is good
To all of you have received this item and built it.

I've just built mine. It is a real quality bit of kit. I am very impressed.

Now here's my problem. On page 3 on the instruction manual it says that the BBQ should not be used with lava rocks or any other accelerant. I've phoned Tesco and they are going to get in touch with the manufacturer tomorrow. But if anyone can enlighten me before then....I would be grateful

I can't see how you would use anything with these after seeing one built today

unless you can find an alternate piece from another bbq or something to put across under where you cook the food
Which type of regulator does this BBQ have? This will determine which gas bottle I buy. Thanks in advance....
