IMHO it's a great price for a great quality extension for a very little money, free delivery from Amazon too.

Agreed. It seems quite hard to buy the cable alone for less than £1 per metre, so good price.

B&Q selling this for £20, if someone wants this quicker. Good price for the item being delivered

I use this for the lawnmover, easy to wind up

could do with an RCD fitted for outdoor use

These are fairly robust as well as easy to wind up. Good price.

Good price, but the winding up is a pain in the ass. It tangles easily

price not gone up,still same,read ops details.sold by elektrotec,and b and q one is only 20 metre

Cpc were doing it cheaper.

I got the 45m version from B&Q for £32 or so I think.
Wouldn't describe it as 'great' quality - 'just about ok', maybe.

Doesn't look nearly as sturdy as the previous 50m one I had*.
*It's a bit knackered after 10 years use, but was being used daily in a harsh commercial environment for the last couple of years - if it wasn't 250 miles away, I'd have just patched it up rather than buying new.

Remember to unwind the entire cable when it use otherwise they an overheat and the cable melt If you don't need the length save yourself a few quid and a lot of hassle of unwinding and winding it back up after every use, get a shorter one.

Most state they will do 720w or so wound - the 45m one I have states this so 25m shouldn't be so bad.

Certainly fine if you just want to charge a phone or something.

What was the brand of your previous one?

Not sure I'm afraid, what with it being 10 years ago and currently located at the other end of the country, but it was this sort of style:

(And if toolstation had been open and they had these in stock, I'd have got one of these instead of going to B&Q, but they weren't.)
