Never stays on the reel when winding up and down

Can't say I've had that problem. Plus would be an inherent problem with all of this design unless you had a cassette version (not sure I've seen one in this length)

In the photo the plug is supposed to go through the bendy wire on the frame to keep the cable on the reel.

Agree, these designs drive me mad as they get loose and come off the side when in use making winding them up impossible! I have old ones from the 80's that work much better.

I have the same reel and the cable always comes off the reel and tangles

I read that you should uncoil all the cable whilst using. If that's the case, then that's a lot of cable to uncoil and then wind up each time you use it. Unless of course you need this length. Good price though.

Pay more and get one with a 13amp RCD built in (not a 10amp)

Only when using a heavy load. Rating is lower when wound up. Should be fine for most power tools used on there own. Fully wound rating should be printed on the reel.

Agreed always comes off reel whenever winding on or off. Avoid.

It's just manufacturers using the minimal amount of material - make the outer sides an inch bigger and problem solved

Is this 3g capable or only 4g?

Not sure mate but there is no SD slot !!oO. You will spend ages getting this wound back up as it will continually come off the inner reel.

Then it'll jam and damage the cable.

I have a 50m one and don't really have a problem. It's all in the wrist...

Just don't expect it to show up on time if you choose home delivery.
