was looking around for a cheap standing fan in this great weather and came across this for £9.99. Best I could find around other stores was in Argos for £14.99 and none were in stock close to me. It doesn't seem to be on offer and shop assistant was shocked to see it at this price

Reserved and collected in local currys with plenty in stockin Derry - also available in PC World or Dixons online.

Have brought it home and assembled with ease and very low noise from fan also.

This is my 1st post so apologies if posted before and any mistakes - also unsure how to attach pic so could someone attach if possible please

didn't know whether to bother posting this but i bought one of these earlier. Thought for a tenner i cant go wrong...and so far so good! fitted it together, it's pretty sturdy and the fan speed on level 1 is good enough, then at 3 its raw power haha. i was worried it'd be wobbly on level 3 while standing fairly high, espeically as its matsui but i'd say it's well worth a tenner!

Good price, these are £15 in TJ hughes

Heat and Rep added swanlake

Bought one of these last year, it's been ok but be aware that if you have it on for long periods on a high setting (2 or 3), it can just shut itself off.

In fact, I think it's only setting 1 that works on ours now!

Thanks OP, reserved one in my local Currys - was just thinking yesterday that I need to pick up another fan

Hey Hey, another Derry Man / Woman!
You shouldn't have bothered. At the weekend the temp is supposed to drop to 11 - 12 C which I suppose is normal where we live That's our Summer over for another year.

If only we could harness the heat in our attics. My attic was 36C today. I was thinking of getting an old car radiator and piping it up to the immersion tank with a thermostat valve and a pump, just to see if it would heat the water!

Tuesday 02 June 23:30 and it appears to be out of stock from Currys.
maybe I should have taken the hint when they were being banged out cheaper by DSG partner ]PCWorld at £7.97, and it's the price ending with 97p that indicates stock will be in v short supply, again :x

Does anyone know if a Currys Store will price match the PC Worlds website?

not sure if it was in stock when you posted it but it's not available for store pick up or home delivery anyway...

hi, thanks for this, it's the same price in currys and is available for store pick-up so ordered 2.
loads of stock in the yorkshire area.

Now available for £9.49 with voucher code: 5KIT. Much easier than store pickup I think.

I bought a fan about 5 years ago - the last time we had hot weather in the North East. Hardly used it since, seeing our weather is always rubbish and quite cool/wet.

Even here in hertfordshire, it smetimes becomes uncomfortably hot. I almost faint at night - which is funny cause i cannot sleep due to the heat. Anyways voted hot. (I soregret not getting one of these at the wolies close down sale).

Same here, mine hasn't been out of the loft for the last 3 or 4 summers

i got 1 the end of last summer from bid up tv from the clearence section for 4 quid in gun metal, remote control with timer, was 8.99 p&p though, but a good deal

Better deal now - £8.99 with free delivery...

Great deal, just collected 2 from the cambridge currys - they seemed to have plenty of stock.

Just built one and well, it is cheaply made but it does the job, it is not very noisy and well, did I say it is cheap?
