Great replacement tyre for 29 inch MTB, £8.99 each.

Will this fit my Volkswagen?

The VW specification sheets will probably claim they will.
Very hot thanks for posting normaly miss out on tyres cheap. Need 2 for my old mans 29er mite even keep spare to put in bag as its folderble
For my daily work commute the only tyres I use are Schwalbe Marathon Plus Wired Tyre with Smartguard. In 5 years plus of cycling only one puncture. Had to use my spare bike without these tyres and didn't last a day before I got a puncture...Found a piece of broken glass had pieced the tyre. The Schwalbe cost more but well worth the money for less punctures to fix.

Depends what you want the tyre for. I used schwalbe ultremos for racing a while back. Super fast but they just need to look at a bit of flint to puncture. The marathons are great (got them on my babies running pram) but no good for an off road 29er

No tyre is glass proof

Too true. But I'll take one puncture in 5 years for commuting on crap roads.

I think my bike is more comparable to a cart horse than a thoroughbred so don't mind the heavier tyres.

Great work, comparing a MTB tyre to a commuter. We should compare your brogues to my hiking boots while we're at it!

The aim wasn't to compare but to pass on some good advice to fellow cyclists. One of the bikes in my comment is a MTB.
Try not to be so aggressive it's only a bike tyre after all.

Hi i used 35c marathon plus for over a year on my 29er comuting fitness bike and they were great and never puntured, Could do little of road etc

Recently bought new 29er so old man can have old bike and it it has fat tyres like posted here did plan on swaping to marathons again but after couple rides i find the fat tyres so much better comfort better grip etc and no problems of road will be sticking to fat tyres in future puntures not problem i cary spares

Sorry if it appeared aggressive, I was just bemused that you launched straight into a review of a commuter tyre.
I think chain reaction give free postage over 9
