1 amp over 2 ports could be a little weak for some modern tablets & phones that often use 2 amp chargers.
They will charge slower with this, or not at all.
1amp is not enough to charge anything these days.
1 amp will charge everything you can connect with a micro USB cable ANY day. If you expect to charge a 20Ah power bank in 3 minutes you'll be disappointed, but it WILL charge it. It will also charge a phone provided you don't have every feature switched on and the screen on full brightness. Personally I'd struggle to find 2 devices I need to charge at the exact same time in exactly the same part of my house, and if I did I'd use guess what.... two wall chargers..... it's not the 1930's we have more than a single mains socket in 3 rooms of the house.

Or maybe you've got a small old flat with sockets in weird places, maybe you've got kids who love to pull plugs out of walls and stick fingers in uncovered sockets, or maybe you're on holiday and the hotel room wasn't blessed with many/any spare sockets. And plenty of other reasons if you think for a second. Charging two devices at the same time, which is half the point of this product, will be very slow and most people will probably find this item frustrating.
Perfectly fine for an overnight trickle charger which will result in longer lasting cells.

Then they can get a different product that does suit their particular quirks. For example a 4-gang extension lead seems to be the product you are looking for. That or a person to teach your kids how to behave. The primary point of this device is to charge a device. The fact it can also charge 2 devices at the same time is a bonus if you happen to find you have run down two devices and need to charge them at the same time. A traditional charging rate (1 Amp) which has been fine for our 3.7 Volt devices for over 10 years is not a product that won't charge anything - which was the gist of the 2 comments before mine. Context.

Just to let everyone reading this know that I have now received the 3 x chargers I ordered. Well packed, good quality (a lot better made than the Poundland offerings).

Works well with my iPhone 6. Very happy with my purchase of 3 x chargers for £8.10.
