Could fill the bath tub with cool water? This is HUKD so a cheaper alternative provided!

Don't know nothing about the deal though but seems good, lol!

Whilst it's really nice to have an AirCon Unit they can cost a lot to run. Easily over 1Kw (And that's a lower powered one)

Annoyingly its much cheaper to heat a room up by 1c than it is to cool it down by 1c (Except for opening the doors and windows)

I Just sit in a room with a fan running, with a wet T-Shirt on. Gets almost too cold that way. Anything to save a few pounds.

Some tips on staying cool from a BBC article: bbc.co.uk/new…554

And how to sleep in hot weather together with reader's suggestions: bbc.co.uk/new…499

This is gonna get cold ;-)

mega pregnant? is this better or worse than "standard" pregnant it sounds really expensive thou

get sweaty. then that would best cool down method.

Say OOS online....

I've found hitting my hand with a hammer to be a cost effective and non-specialist way of distracting ones attention from the heat.
Hope this helps.

Did somebody say wet t shirt?

this is good deal i think . air con great .i know it costs a fair bit of cash to run but better than suffering in heat if it afffects you.

A fair bit of cash to run, bloody hell I don't think anyone is planning on running it 24hrs a day 365 days a year. I have 2 9000btu units in my house and have been running them for last 3 years. I always have them on win its hot and never have an excessive bill.

Mind you I also have 2 plasma TV's in the house and if this was a plasma tv deal then there would have been some genius stating the fact that plasmas are so so expensive to run.

Oh here comes the wife in the 6litre v 12. cheap as chips to run.

cheap price!

OoS - shame - was after a portable A/C unit....
