I've personally not seen it this cheap before. Not even the cheap bulk protein companies sell it for this much.

This is in my top 3 Casein based protein powders from a taste/consistency/quality point of view (and I've tried a fair few).

Edit: When I say top 3, I'm specifically referring to the choc mint. In contrast, the caramel chaos is the worst protein I've ever tasted.

Excess protein consumption stresses the kidneys and urine nitrogen content rises significantly .. In essence you are peeing out protein. Some excess is stored as fat , some thickens your arterial walls ... The rest you pee out .

If you need protein supplements your diet is lacking.. You need to be seriously exercising to get any (if any) benefit from this . Non of these are regulated by the FDA you have no idea how they are produced. Latest tests said 30% of 24 leading protein supplements failed quality tests and 2 had excessive lead content .Brazillian research in 2015 concluded 11 out of 20 had less protein than stated. Generally anything more than 30g at a sitting is a waste your body simply can't process it . Do some research .. It's s complete waste of money . Eat real food .

Why would the FDA be regulating products sold in the UK?

Like all protein powders .. Great for increasing the value of your urine . …Like all protein powders .. Great for increasing the value of your urine . Peeing out 70% of it .

You don`t "pee out protein". Every single gram of protein you take in gets broken down and part of the breaking down process involves removing the nitrogen from it which is toxic to the body which you do pee out.
The rest of it gets used up to build bigger proteins, enzymes, cell structures, blah blah or if in excess stored as fat.

Really tho why would your body waste a nutrient?

That is what they thought for a long time it's only very recently they think that's not the case but they're not actually hundred percent sure but either way this is casein which is slow release so there wouldn't be an instant excess anyway

Well evolution really f*ked up if you cant process anymore than 30g at a time

1) Protein causes your body to slow down digestion (as does fat) so it doesn`t hit your blood stream as hard
2) NONE of it gets wasted - it all gets broken down into its component amino acids and then used or stored as fat

- 6 years of medical studies against your what?

Agreed tho. Research shows after 0.8g/lb it makes little to no difference for muscle composition but from experience the general average person really does struggle to get that in (which actually really shocked me)

Don't think there's necessarily anything wrong with a good quality protein powder. It's true there is a sports supplement industry that's raring to take advantage of anyone and everyone; for that reason it's always good to do your research on what's being sold to you. It's also why I only bother with protein powder and creatine. Occasionally a pre-workout mix. They'll try and sell you everything under the sun; some supplements work, others don't or not in the quantity/formulation sold.

There's also nothing unhealthy about supplementing protein provided you're not over-doing it. It's good mixed with fruit and milk and can be a very healthy way to hit your five-a-day and fibre intake.

This is false. When you do research, look at a meta-analysis, it will improve your understanding of topics greatly. Don't just Google stuff as the quality is low and leads to incorrect opinions.

It's staggering how much misinformation still gets tossed out on the internet (such as the 30g protein in one sitting, I thought that nonsense died out a decade ago). Thanks for putting these internet nutritionists right.

A biiiig problem is people like clicking on and absorbing news articles and info that gives the "shock and awe" approach without actually delving deeper into the sources and credibility. Then they spunk it out to other vulnerable, naive people.

Funny enough for anyone who`s interested, I did some further reading a while ago and this "30g maximum absorption" was a ploy supported by the supplement industry to further increase their sales
- "Coincidently" their serving size tends to be around 30g and what better way to hit the maximum amount "your body can absorb" than an easy to make shake
- As was the "Eat 6 times a day" ploy.
