I came across these flights to Melbourne Australia which I thought were a great deal.

Flying from Heathrow on 15th May 2014 returning on 1st June 2014.

There is one 3 and a half hour stop in China.

China Southern allow 20kg luggage on economy flights.

I hope this is of benefit for someone

Happy Hols SunshineStacey

Fab price

Superb

Very good.

I presume you only need a passport to go (no visa, or US style security check ) ?

you need a visa. about 30 quid

this length of flight you get what you pay for .... really is worth paying extra for extra... just my experience

Nice

I'd love to go to Australia, the only problem I can see is there's Australians there

You're not going to get to Melbourne in much under 22 hours. So it's not exactly a massive increase in journey time.

Hot from me!

Visa is £6.50 from visas4oz.vo.uk. Used them many times.

I think trimm trab is referring to the airline rather than the flight time. When you're spending almost 2 days on planes it's nice to have better seats/pitch, entertainment and meals.

It's free to apply for a visa
. I'm flying to Sydney from Dublin on Thursday

Mug. Visas are free.

I want to take you Down Under. We would hire a luxurious motorhome with air conditioning and Egyptian cotton sheets (min 600 thread count).

I cant enter any input here I've never flown to Australia, better put that on my bucket list too!!

I have flown on an Australian Airline though lol - I flew Quantas but got off in Bankok lol

Stacey - not gonna vote either way as I've flown to Oz for less in September. Not sure I would want to go in May/June bit cold for me.

I presume this is not Aquaatlantic, as seen in the new Liam Neeson Movie

If it is don't trust anybody

I hope your well? x

btw we love all the deals stacey puts on here and have heated many deals posted , just feel on these longer flights it can be a bit tedious flying with certain airlines

How safe are China Southern?

Not safe at all. They crash everyday. That's how they've been in business all these years.

Just checked- they haven't had any fatalities since 97 according to sources.

Safer than Malaysia Airlines

It might be a combined flight on a Malaysian Airline plane...

Although it will be winter in Melbourne there are plenty of cheap internal flights with Qantas/Jetstar/Virgin available and Far North Queensland around Cairns should have good weather.
Never flown with China Airlines but some of my daughter's friends used them and had no probs, depends what you are used to flying, can't really compare with Emirates etc but you are paying a lot less.
Have to say I love Aus, and am currently sat in a very hot and sunny Alice Springs.

the price isn't brill for winter and it's only for two weeks. I've flown quantas and BA for about £30 more in their summertime. Jan/Feb

oz is well worth the trip but to be combined with KL or HK for a few days otherwise you are shattered. North of Cairns around Port douglas is well worth a visit to do the reef.

makes me feel like it's time for a holiday

btw... the 'jokes' are not funny.

I live in Sydney, this is heaps cheap to coin an ausie saying. Southern China are ok and times are alright.

Didn't cost me a penny when I applied directly on the Oz immi website in May last year, almost instant approval too.

You will be on a safe side - they use Airbus..

Why would you want to go to Australia in may/june when there will be plenty of sunshine here in Britain unless you are visiting someone.Do not forget it will be winter over there that time.Still I would vote hot for this price.

Nice deal for anyone wanting to visit relatives in Australia, but with 26 hours stuck on a A330-300 I'm so glad I don't have any.

this is hot!!

does the A380 fly to oz?

Great price. Have flown with these before though, is pretty rough. Was no English films. Chinese food for every meal (sounds good but wasn't). Worth bearing in mind but still great price.
