MBNA 38-months 0% interest balance transfer credit card, 1.44% BT fee

Here’s a decent deal for people who need upwards of three years to clear their credit card debt.

MBNA has upped the deal on its Platinum Balance Transfer credit card from 37 months to 38 months.

There’s a relatively low 1.44% balance transfer fee, so a £1000 balance transfer will cost you £14.40.

The card also offers 20 months interest-free on money transfers – but with a 4% fee, putting the cost of a £1000 money transfer at £40.

Purchases are charged at 19.9% APR.

Why I like this card
In my opinion this card offers a decent combination of a long 0% period with a cheap-ish fee.

Barclaycard offers a very similar deal – 38 months interest-free on balance transfers with a 1.4% fee. The MBNA deal would be suitable for someone who can’t shift a debt to Barclaycard – because they’re already a customer, for example.

Glad to see stoozing has survived the hike in interest rates.
Will I get accepted for this if I’ve already got an MBNA balance transfer card? Thanks
Just what I was going to be looking for this morning. Thanks!
