MBNA has unveiled a new online-only brand, called Nuba, which launches with two new near best-buy credit cards and a £20 Amazon voucher to tempt you to sign-up.

The first offer, its Transfer Credit Card, comes with 41 months 0 per cent interest on balance transfers - one month shorter than the best-buy deal - and 20 months free money transfers.

It also has an All Round Credit Card which gives borrowers 25 months 0 per cent interest on purchases and both money and balance transfers.

What is NUBA offering?

The Transfer credit card offers just one month less than the market-leading deal from Sainsbury's bank which gives 42 months 0 per cent interest.

Nuba's offering currently sits fifth in the best-buy tables only beaten by Sainsbury's Bank, Virgin Money, Halifax and MBNA’s own Platinum credit card.

It charges a 3.49 per cent fee to move existing credit card debt to the Nuba card. A £2,000 balance would therefore clock up £69 in transfer fees.

This is £11 cheaper than the best-buy Sainsbury's Bank balance transfer card which charges 4 per cent.

Watch out, after the first 60 days you will pay a 5 per cent handling fee for balance transfers and you won’t qualify for the promotional 0 per cent interest deal instead interest will be charged at 20.9 per cent.

For those who want to pay off an expensive overdraft or loan the card also comes with 20 months 0 per cent interest on money transfers.

To get your hands on the £20 Amazon vouchers you will need to make money or balance transfers of at least £1,000 within the first 60 days of opening the account.

"The Nuba range comprises a balance transfer card offering up to 41 months 0% for a 3.49% fee and an all-rounder card, which has up to 25 months 0% on purchases, balance transfers (2.39% fee) and money transfers (4% fee)."

So its not a 0% fee is it? The title needs chaging as it looks like its a 0% fee for a 41 month balance transfer

yep, title is very misleading.

Title needs amending to show the fee as it isn't 0% as stated.

depends on the amount you lend. they only have the options to pay the minimum or pay balance in full, so create a standing order for the rest
