Please don't put [high intensity] bulbs in your car unless you adjust your beams to be very low or can adjust your beam levels while driving. You do not need ultra-bright white beams to see 100m ahead when you are driving across the city to get milk from tesco.

Yes, because it's a H7 bulb.

80p for me
Thanks OP - worth a punt.
Wowzers just reserved a few sets as spare but from previous experience the staff will clock it and leave a message saying there’s no stock (because they’ve pinched them for themselves)
Same price on their Ebay site, albeit with a £4 delivery charge. ebay.co.uk/i/3…075
Reserved a couple for collection to keep as spares... but suspect it will be a wasted journey.

I ordered 2, got a call to say there was only one, obsolete bulb, but I can get any other bulb for same price. (doubt they'll give me more than one) nice gesture though.

Had this lots of times with Halfords and their offers... usually get a call from the "Manager" telling me there's been a once in a lifetime occurrence and they have no stock or there's been a serious computer error etc. I never get anything offered to me as an alternative. I know some folks here have in the past

Heated OP, have reserved so we shall see. Only able to get 2x though, did try for 4x.

To be honest, ive never seen much difference in these bulbs in terms of dazzling other road users. The colour appears to be whiter which I like.

The HID bulbs are a different matter though and agree when people retrofit these into their cars. Those, are like looking at the surface of the sun.
Ordered 2 , wait and see if I get them
Think these might fail an MOT if they’re replacing halogen bulbs, anyone know for sure?
Take it these fit car headlamps as well?
LOL My Halfords just phoned to say they don’t do Click and Collect despite me C&C stuff only yesterday. Didn’t even feel it was worth the argument. Good luck if you get them

Shouldn't fail your mot . They are road legal bulbs . Have a read in the description
My local just phoned to say they only have one, ordered two, but another store has five checked on line and it's showing three. Do I bother to try again?

Road legal if replacing like for like but I think if you’re retrofitting them it’s a bit more complicated
Ha, it's started then... Has *anyone* actually got their hands on the bulbs yet?
well just had a text to say mine are ready to collect...
Great price but just be aware that these 'extra power' type bulbs have a shorter life, in some cases much shorter. The extra light is welcome but if you have one of those cars where the front end needs to be taken apart to change a bulb (eg some Renaults are infamous for this issue) you might want to consider living with 'normal' bulbs!

Also, simply changing bulbs can affect the alignment (possibly why there are so many cars with one headlight pointing at the stars!) which could fail an MoT so, ideally, get them set up after a change.

Regardless of the above, this deal has to be hot!
A great price but I don't think they will last very long. The brighter the burn the shorter the life.

Not with xenon, they will outlive the car
Just collected mine. Young guy said I got a good deal on these. Fitted them to my Avensis. Happy chap
States Motorcycle Bulbs on the pack.
They are H7 bulbs so universal for bike and car. Make sure your car takes H7
No stock near me, but good find OP. Heat added
Had phone call my 2 are ready to collect 😁
Worth a pop, reserved two at my local store, lets see if they materialise.

Seems to be some confusion here, Xenon is a gas, not a bulb type.

These are still normal incandescent bulbs, with a life in the hundreds of hours. They don't really need to fill them with Xenon, but they do it anyway to make them sound good and justify the high RRP. (Obviously didn't work since they're selling them off for a pound)

I think what you're referring to are HID bulbs, which are a form of electric arc lamp and generate much more light. They certainly do last a long time (thousands of hours) and would be technically illegal to retrofit into a headlamp designed for normal bulbs.

Interestingly, I heard that HID don't really need Xenon either, but they put it in because buyers weren't interested in brighter headlights that were the same colour as normal ones. Xenon makes the colour temperature cooler and apparently that's easier to market? Don't know how true that is.
When halfords had a great deal on highvis cycle clothing last year I C&C a nice order, went in to collect and order was nowhere to be found. Previously same with a C&C order for tools deal also, on collection sorry out of stock. Halfords can go suck eggs. Never giving them another penny.

But great deal if you actually get hold of these for £1.

dont know why halfords bother doing click and collect. this is the 5th time ive had orders called by halfords, apparently they were in clearance and have gone though the tills. hmmm.
Ordered 4 for collection, received confirmation txt, no problem. Received phone call 5 minutes later, 'unusual ' problem with stock checker, only 1 in stock if I wanted it. Neither use nor ornament on its own. GOOD LUCK ! Tut tut
