what antivirus do you all use.

I did like Kaspersky in the past

I just use Microsoft Security Essentials. Never had a problem, just stay away from dodgy sites or downloading things you shouldn't be

And to add to your advice, avoid online banking and card purchases when relying solely on MSE for your protection as when you do lose all your money, the bank is unlikely to be very sympathetic

Nope, not rubbish. If you haven't read the full terms and conditions of all high street banks, then you have probably missed the bit about keeping your account secure. MSE is not going to convince them you made an effort

Yep, probably more use than relying on MSE to protect them but hey ho, no educating some is there

As soon as my bank tell me to use their preferred anti virus software, I will. Thanks though

As someone who had issues with their cards recently, the bank refunded the money no questions. then after that asked about my PC and whether I had AV. At no point was it a pre req or did they ask which type of AV we had.

Does any small print specify Microsoft Security makes your claim null and void?Specifically because you (didn't make an effort?).If not it has to be said Bug the Mordor eye is wrong.

Just no point in trying to educate some

I agree!

Its only educating people if its true. I can tell you from my own experience that the banks (several I have dealt with) do not withold giving money back based on using or not using AV or only if you use a certain AV.

educating bricks is pointless.

MSE is so poor even Microsoft recommend you use something else.

Try taking a look on Google. They don't even submit it for comparative testing any more.
