Dad (even when he is in work).. is very convenient to have something like this in the freezer.. It does save a lot of time.. Plus my other half always say that I don't prepare them the same way as he would do.. So in this case I am able to say - I just put them in the oven and that is it...

Yes must save loads of time taking this processed rubbish out of the freezer instead of taking fresh potatoes out of the cupboard.
You can buy 4 fresh for at most a pound.

I had to check it yes for 5 minutes or 45 in the oven, wonder what else cooks for that amount of time in a micro or even an oven if you put them in the micro to start them off.

This has to be the worlds worst offer.

it takes 10 minutes to microwave a raw potato ~ This is not cooking school but please peope ~ Don't get mugged off for your cash for a five minute saving

simple really
What’s all this talk of microwaving jacket potatoes?

You BAKE them in the oven! aka BAKED potatoes. Much nicer taste and crispy skins.

Frozen jackets is the height of laziness IMO. Although I understand for ease if you’re late in from work etc. They still don’t taste the same.
Just missing an i in the shop name really
I will take 4 fresh over 2 frozen for a £1 anyday, double the value, but if washing and rolling a raw potato in some salt and pepper is too time consuming then i suppose these are a win for some.

So heat anyway.

You can start them off on microwave and then crisp then in the oven, reduces cooking time and does not affect the taste. Sadly people don’t have time to cook them for the full time in the oven. These aren’t any easier if you are in a hurry they still take 45 mins in an oven, good home ones can be done in 20 to 30 mins

Micro for 10 and then pop in an oven up to max for a few mins for the skin bake.
