Like all decent fish and chips. Proper Yorkshire-style - the best fish and chips in the country!
They’re really nice but the amount of fat that comes out while cooking is crazy, just shouldn’t be entering the body but they just taste so god dam good!

They've only been cooked twice, home cooking is the third cook.

Been this price for over a week in mine, nice enough but boy the amount of oil comes out in the oven is frightening.

Been this price for about a month or more also the skin on chips are this price and are very nice i prefer these and as people say these have far to much fat its crazy.
I was going to say these are actually 640g, as I bought these recently at this price. Just looked and there are two listings on Iceland, one for 640g and the 700g marked 'new'.

Both the same normal price too - are they now giving more product for your money? Did someone cancel Brexit?

Not really noticed this. Triple the fat content of their 'Home Chip' though!
I don't like chips but tried these and thought they were lovely. Heat from me
Triple cooked ? Why

Triple cooked ? Why

Allows for soft inside with a crispy outside without cheating (coating the chip).

Does cooking on 'grease proof' paper help?

Fat does not come out of a potato. Theses are coated in beef dripping. If it's left on the tray, it isn't entering your body.

Doesn't say that they're cooked with beef droppings.. I think they are veggie...
I can just feel my heart aching while eating these...

Any idea how much lifespan you loose with one serving ?
Gastro, that short for gastrointestinal disorder causing yeah

Yuk if they made with beef (droppings) must be very smelly
So much debate over a bag of frozen chips which have a genuine 50% price reduction!!! Heat added - I love these even if they are cooked in beef dripping

Cooked twice when you buy and triple when cooked at home. It's posh and excursions for restaurants to charge the earth.
Very very good with a deep fried mars bar & mushy peas.....
These are delicious. The point is that they have a beautiful crispy outside and a soft middle. The fat is essential to get them to crisp up in this way, and they're designed as a treat - not to be eaten for every meal. They don't taste greasy at all.

These used to come in a fairly plain foil packet and were called 'Gorgeous Chips'. I think the gastro rebranding is to give them more of a special occasion vibe.

These are far nicer than any 'special ooccasion' M&S chips from the fresh counter, with the only downside being that they're not vege.

I agree. These are exceptionally good chips. The Gorgeous ones do still exist though, and they’re even better (and even more expensive). They have less vegetable oil and more beef dripping, with an even better taste and texture for true chip connoisseurs. Not many places still stock them, but I think Sainsbury still has them

Find me a panel of more than 15 that says it isn't true and you may have a case.
Disappointed by these when I've had them. Too fatty too. Not a great taste and over priced by a long way.

Scottie brand chips are best.
