It's that expensive because it's made of fox leather. It's rather labour intensive finding and picking up enough appropriate road kill required for the job.

Does anyone have any tips to get the chemical smell out of a faux leather bean bag please? Just bought one and it has quite a strong smell at the moment.

Rebellion, that's a good question. In the past, I've had to leave smelly items in the cold garage or airing cupboard where our boiler is for a few days and that seem to work.

Thanks, i've heard wrapping it in newspaper and spraying on diluted white vinegar then wiping off are supposed to help too so will give them all a go. The smell is so strong that I can't keep the bedroom door closed! Gonna leave it in the garage for a couple of days.
