This chainsaw is fab. Mine lasts about n hour on a battery and cuts very well for a battery chainsaw. it was selling at £240 quid last week and still is on Very.co.uk. £230 in Argos and many other places, so a fairly big discount.

It won't appeal to those who don't need to cut up a body or two, but also useful for trees.

More appropriate to do that in an Apple store; more zombies.....

I'd miss the noise and smell of my 2stroke.

Anyone know where to get one of these

I know where you are coming from as I have both, but this one is really light and so very easy to use. Cuts just as well without needing the fuel, but of course needs to be re-charged.

I can also see where lighter is good. Wielding the old petrol tools certainly works the arm muscl

Where else can you get this with a battery and charger for this sort of price.? The cheapest it’s ever been on Amazon is over £150 and it normally about £200. If you can find this anywhere else for under £150 I’d be very supprised. Send me a link to get 1 brownie point

Look on Camel, it regularly dips to this price. Now where's that brownie...
+ battery life is poor, 20 mins max according to the reviews... hence the regular drop in price. Make that 2 brownies

Just so I understand the HUKD rules, if something is usually more expensive but "regularly" drops to a price, the offer price shouldn't be posted (even though its below the usual selling price and cheaper than anywhere else)?
Genuine question.

No one is saying don't post deals, but whether it's hot or not, and whether one is going to buy in a hurry, obviously depend on how special the offer is.

Yep chainsaws take no prisoners

I would not touch one of these with a barge pole. I am absolutely terrified of this thing.

Don’t handle this unless you don’t want two arms or legs lol

'Rules' don't see to matter: eg all the 'Prime only' and 'Add on' deals, etc - you can't buy at headline price but HUKD seems to allow it.

I tried to post this last week on an eBay deal, but it wasn't allowed as the seller wasn't good enough, although it was £10 cheaper.

This was £220 on Amazon last week from the same seller.

You seem to have a thing for dangerous equipments! Don’t understand why someone can sleep peacefully with something like this sat nearby!

Original Poster

it's not the equipment that's dangerous, it's the people who try and use it without knowing how to use it or store it safely. When I pack this away, the battery is removed and it is stored in a tool rack. It has multiple safety actions before you can even start it anyway, that's if the battery is even in it.

If you are sleeping then I'm not really sure what you expect the chainsaw to do?

If you were really worried about it then I guess you could always take the battery out but I'm not sure what your point is.

I take it you have no need for a chainsaw, in which case, there really wouldn't be much point in getting one (especially if you are scared of it).

Many people have a good use for one and they generally learn how to use one safely.
