McDonald's Apple Pies 2 for £1 @ McDonald's

Found 28th Apr 2015
Saw this deal on a poster in the McDonald's today near the Macron Stadium . Says on the poster available at participating stores so could be worth a check in your local McDonald's, as looks to be available in some other stores.

Seen this offer in the past and other stores do the deal albeit at maybe £1.20 for 2 or something like that instead. Which is still really good

Neat deal, heat added.

Burn your mouth hot deal

After the last deal. Think I'll give it a wide berth for the time being.

Hah i did get to a point in that event that when i was sick of big macs. Was just getting em for the sake of it, living less than 5 minutes from a McDonald's didnt help.

But these apple pies are too nice to pass up at this price

Any In London stores

They're hotter than the sun! Doesn't seem like such an amazing price though, it's just a small pie.

As hot as the pies themselves.

I just wished they would bring out more flavours. If the supermarkets can bring out apple, custard, chocolate, rhubard, etc for donuts then why can't Maccy D's. They did have different flavour pies across the world then why not trial them in the UK. If I recall they had sweet potato pies, banana pies, taro pies. It's not that they don't have loads of stores scatter across the UK not able to shift them.

Remember the McRibs? I had them overseas & they were to die for. Now what do we have in the UK, the same dog poop day in day out.

The main thing I wish McDonalds did here is the Double Quarter Pounder with cheese. I've had that in America, and they're very tasty!!

Also, these apple pies are 2 for $1 over there. Rip off Britain indeed!

They change the flavour of the "apple pe" round Christmas usually. Theyve had chocolate and banana, chocolate orange and the festive pie (which i love) with mince meat (not that kinda mince meat )n custard

They brought back the mcrib about a month or so back , just for a month though

Just ask them. Some branches will make you a couple up as a special if you ask nicely and it's not too busy. My personal favourite is double sausage egg muffin with double cheese. So smooth that you'll never feel your arteries harden

My local is doing this plus two hash Browns in the morning for a quid too

'Stick one in a McFlurry. It's a game changer'.

Think this isn't a national thing. It was on offer in a couple in Wales in Feb but not on anywhere else. Hope they start doing it at some round here though.

I love these when I have my McDonalds treat but no exaggeration, I'd say 75% of the time when I go through the drive through and ask for a couple of these I always get that I will have to wait 15 mins for them or they have none. It always does my head in! because they have a menu that consists of so few items. how can they not have any of them? Or I would have to wait the 15 mins when I'm going through a drive through .its been this way for ages. The same with milkshakes lol either the machine is always **** or they haven't got it. I knew one day I'd get to rant about this issue I have at my mcdonalds. A fecking liberty. And all for the cost of it and I don't get what I went for aarrgghh!

I think I'd be complaining to head office! I know that our local mc Donald's, we have lay bys so that if your food is not ready within time of you driving around to collection window, they ask you to park in @bay 1, or bay 2. Then bring it out to you...Either complain or try call before you go, maybe that way they may have it ready for you by your arrival time?
I love them apple pies....a bit too much! Heat added for that find.

That's why I always ask, if they've got any when at drive thru (can see if when I order in store), then decide if I get it or not. Been keeping a tally this year and so far, 4/5 times they have at least 1, only twice did they have 2 (to share of course!)

Out of interest, how are these made? Are they already cooked and then microwaved? In which case why do they make them so flipping hot? My kids say they are deep fried because they are crunchy and greasy.

They are deep fried - They should be called Apple fritters really instead of a pie

Though you may think they are deep fried they are actually baked. All that healthy food palavar made McDonald's stop deep frying them and start baking them instead

EDIT: In America

that's not true they are all deep fried. they are deep fried in a vat for 6 minutes, they are supposed to have a cool down time of 8 minutes but if someone has ordered some that weren't ready the cool down time is skipped.

They had the banoffee flavour which was delicious

I always end up buying these together:

They usually have a cook time, serve time and a discard by time on them which is why you often have to wait for them.

I've had loads of freebies including a total full meal refund once when I've noticed they've served them 5 minutes after the discard by time.

Make sure you eat 3/4 of it before you complain as they are still warm and edible!
