Mcdonalds free burger, fries or Mcflurry with student ID

Found 8th Dec 2013
If you buy a meal at McDonalds you can get a burger, fries or a mcflurry free by showing a student ID (this includes a college ID card) Not sure which burgers you can get but I know you can get a cheeseburger. This is quite useful if you want to give a mate a burger to save them buying it, or even give it to a homeless person, do whatever you want with it, its free! This is a good thing to remember when going to McDonalds. Please give heat.

The offer is a free hamburger, cheeseburger or mcflurry (non-promotional) when you purchase any medium or large EVM (extra value meal) and have a standard valid student card.

If you have an valid NUS Extra Card you can get a free medium fries when purchasing either a chicken sandwich or Big Mac sandwich on its OWN (not as a meal)

One per transaction valid every "visit" (which is a standard 4 hours)

haha brilliant!

or chips

Oh... Always thought it had to be large too. oO

just to clarify, this is for any meal, any size. Been around for years and they rarely/never check on drivethrus (my battered old peugeot is probably more evidence of my status than any card is though!)

some mcdonalds will ask for an NUS card, these are the franchise ones which can set their own rules but this hasn't happened to me in a long time (generally only motorway service stations).

I used this in 2001 when I started college!!!

Yeah, as other have said, this has been going since the dawn of time itself.

McDonalds in Castle Marina, Nottingham used to give you free McFlurry with Student ID card. No purchase necessary. Useful munchies at 3 AM. Not sure if they still do.

Been around for years! Not new so cold!

I have been using this for nearly two years now..

Been using this for a while now and like someone else said, hardly ever get checked when using it at the drive thru.

I though everyone knew this?

FYI.. this has been around for long lol

You whopper - just because something isn't new, doesn't make it a bad deal.

Used to work as McDonalds. Its supposed to be NUS only but the staff and the managers don't care about it.

What's the difference between an extra value meal and purchasing a chicken sandwich or big mac ?

a EVM is about £4.50 and includes a burger fries and a drink, a CS or BM cost about 2.50 and come alone.

Yeah it's pretty much any standard student card with a date on it, people aren't trained to ask for NUS, especially not in franchise - company may be a bit more strict.

Nah company aren't too strict about that, as long as they have a valid expiry date on a student card it qualifies, company or franchise. As for the fries with NUS extra that all comes down to who serves you and if they know/care about the offer surrounding it.

Thanks

This has been going for years! and it is advertised in McDonalds (most of them..)

Not new but always useful for those who didn't know! Hot.
