Hey folks, know a few of you take part in this every year, i've just had some insider info and can CONFIRM it'll start on the 20th March 2019.
As well as removing their "go large" incentive, McDonald's will be also increasing the number of stickers provided for a medium Extra Value Meal to ensure customers receive the same opportunity to win, regardless of how big their order.
Customers will also receive Monopoly stickers on carrot bags and side salads, as well as Big Flavour Wraps including the new Spicy Veggie One.
Waiting for an update of prizes but soon as i do, i'll update here.

For those that have never played, here's how:

For those that have never played, here's how:
- Go to McDonalds and order your food via online/instore etc
- Your McDonalds food will have stickers on the side, if you get a bigger meal = more stickers
- Pick up a McDonalds Monopoly board from the counter, usually a sheet or a little booklet (Again will update with more info ASAP.)
- Add these onto your sheet/book, once you get 2/3 properties in a colour-group you can then claim a prize.
- In-between that you'll get stickers for free drink/food, possibly NowTV codes etc

sorted byEvery year I get at least 20 warm drinks, a dozen burgers and loads of ice-cream/apple pies. I then hand them out to any homesless people that are about, which is great because they get a few minutes in the warm and some free food.
Plus, you do your part picking up plastic from the floor!
It might look a bit strange, you scrambling around on the floor or eyes down as you walk, but it's well worth it.

There's millions of very common stickers and very few of the ones required to win a good prize, so chances are you have been binning the common ones. People do win though so always worth checking. It would be good if this year they updated the McD's app to allow you to scan and collect, rather than messing about with the paperboard and stickers.

I too have also visited many McDonald’s in the early hours of the morning, restaurants which are both in busy town centres and the ones located off busy roads.... I am yet to see a single homeless person inside begging for money, let alone a restaurant ‘always filled with homeless folk’ as you put it. What I did normally see however, is the local teen chavs in their Halfords special cars and drunk teens gobbing off because they’ve had a shandy or two and think they’re hard.

Think the best I've ever won is a big mac, and that was quite a few years ago. Don't think I won anything last year. And I do eat at Mcdonalds more than I should too (been twice last week!)
Last year they weren't even stickers! Ended up with loads of little tabs hanging around / getting lost!

How is that proof? the article is telling people not to buy the common card 'Park Lane' on eBay etc.
Whilst i don't frequent McDonalds if i can help it, these competitions are monitored by a third party body and not a scam, the chances of winning big prizes aren't great, but that's a different story. (edited)
There’s no proof there. It’s obvious that they’ll only print as many Mayfair stickers as there are 100k prizes. It clearly states this. You have a very slim chance of winning, but what you or ‘your mate who works at McDonald’s’ are claiming is that the lucky winners in the past have been told they cannot claim and given a free meal instead. And everyone was fine with this. Absolutely ludicrous.
It’s crazy isn’t it that these companies run promotions in order to make a profit. What are they thinking?!
1st time redeem them using the self service checkout, this means the same code can't be used again but... make your second order at the counter. It works like a charm when they are busy as they just take the sticker from you and don't have time to retype the code to check if it has been used.
The only crime here is what you are doing to the English language.
That is of course besides your statement about their promotion being a scam, which could obviously be construed as libel, if it wasn't so ludicrous.
