Untrue. I’ve owned Petrol movers for last 15 years. The fuel lasts ages.

I believe they are referring to Conor McGregor the ufc fighter.. :-)
Just picked one up at Argos Northwich. Great deal but worst bit was running the gauntlet of looks and laughter of other customers as the wife and I logged the heavy box out the door into the December rain. Still I will get the last laugh next spring!

Make sure you have storage for 3 months before you can actually use it.

Presumably applies to any lawnmower?
They have the same mower (as far as I can tell) for £269: argos.co.uk/pro…N9b
These tend to have Briggs and stratton engines , work horse engines and plenty of good YouTube guides to repairing most faults. Tend to just keep running though with minimal maintenance

Just picked one up from the local Argos. Just bought a new house with a massive garden so petrol mower was required.

Thanks for the deal!
is it good at UFC?
Also very useful for gathering autumn leaves, hedge clippings etc- not tried it on snow (yet)but there's no reason to believe it woudn't work while it's still fluffy enough to be blown about!

- if you *do* try and do the leaf think, better poke any large mounds with a stick to make sure there is no hibernating wildlife!
Thanks OP. Finally bought first petrol lawnmower.
Any advise on starter kit ?
+ 6% Quidco
Careful with these... They tend to run out of gas after only a couple of rounds... 🥊

You won’t need the starter kit for a year at least. You can usually buy the oil in double or triple the quantity and the spark plug cheaper on eBay or amazon, it doesn’t need to be branded same as the lawnmowerJust needs to be 4 stroke and the right spark plug. The filter can be washed. Just make sure you empty the fuel completely over winter as the vapours destroy the carberttur gasket and chokes it up which causes it to not start in summer.

They struggle with chokes too.
Thankfully non in stock near me. Want one - can't afford one. Temptation gone. Heat added

Thanks for details. Appreciated.
Will only buy petrol can for now
Self propelled,?! Perfect... so I can just sit back and watch it mow the lawn with a beer.

Now I was assuming this comes with maybe a bottle of oil inside it, but i guess i maybe wrong? I cant see anything confirming that I dont know? The PDF tech doc says needs 0.4 lires of SAE 30 oil before first use. On Amazon theres Briggs & Stratton 1.4 litre of oil for £6.68 delivered.
It just says there’s no stock in any stores now. Would have gone for one of these
sold out in the east midlands, Leicester
first whiskey, now lawnmowers
Same price on eBay and available by the look of it.

If you are going to buy a petrol mower make sure it has a Honda engine. £100 spent on this junk is £100 wasted. I only fly Cathay !
